I'm playing now...

A question: are we not supposed to report acts of war? I have a unit in the yellow in one of my cities and would like to know who attacked me!

Also, destroying city improvements is an act of war and I suppose we should report that as well...

I seem to lose city improvements every now and then, but it could be bad memory + long between the turns (see the list above!)...

Another strange thing... All my cities are not cycled through when I jump to the next city in the city window?! Strange!

When I was your sub (a long time ago ) this happened to me and I came to the conclusion that it was probably due to the strange letters that you used for some city names.

Yes, that's what I thought too... Still, I've seen cities named "!"... But perhaps they were not "cyclable" either?

First time I noticed it was today...

I think it's Crustacian who originally played as the romans and baptised the cities...

As far as I know any acts of war all should be reported (whether successful or not) as well as diplomatic activity (such as sabataging improvements).

Not sure who has done this to you, but I did not attack you and had nothing to report (nor have I attacked you or sabotaged any improvements.....yet ).

Though I had every reason to attack!

Which begs the question....who attacked the Romans??

If it wasn't kengel (Americans) and it wasn't me (Mongols)........then who?? Eddy and the Egyptians??

Perhaps the Romans should be careful who they ally with........that Babylonians are closer to the Romans then anyone else ?

And I haven't attacked you (nor did I attack Crustacian, even though he took a city from me........Kabul), and kengel says he didn't either.

makes no sense, unless maybe Barbs? (Haven't seen them in Mongolia in a loooooonnnnnnnngggggg time though). Actually now that you mention it, I think there were barbs outside of Kabul a while back wern't there??

Difficult to remember the details after several months.
Yet IIRC most Bab warriors were getting sunburnt on the beautiful beaches of Babland. They seem to have now reached a colour somewhere between the averages at Malibu and Abidjan.

Okay it appears that 5 of us are in agreement to a time limit of some sort, and I have sent an email to Eddy and Mostly Harmless so that they can post an opinion as well.

Here is the content of my email:

Hey guys, long time no post

1 week time limit on turns? I guess thats ok. Normally by the time i receive my turn my computer has crashed or civ 2 is not working or my little world is turned upside down. Hopefully 1 week isn't enough time for that to happen.

Who's turn is it btw? doh, it's me isn't it... better get a move on... who am i again?

Oh, i know... someone just attacked us, didn't they... unprevoked... yes... but we're a peacefull race... who would do such a thing?!?!?!

We are playing at Emporer Level.

I know not what Kabulantium is, but I have looked at the city of Kabul and it is much changed from whence we were forcably evacuated.

I beleive we will be able to return it to the Mongolian Way however, the people seem eager to return to the right and true rule.
