we are almost ready to commence hostilities with the insolent Spaniards!! for too long now we have suffered their presence and put up with their incursions into our national waters.

Many times have they disregarded international treaties and sent their warships along our coasts, in full bloody minded defiance of requests that they leave!!

In approx 1 year from now all assets will be in place for our "Four Pronged Attack"

We attach a chart showing the posistions of four battallions of troops startegically placed along the borders. I have indicated their proposed routes and first targets at the outbreak of hostilities via red dots.

At this time both battallions in Portugal and the one in sourthernmost France are at full strength and ready to move on my orders. Each group has about 10 to 13 regiments except the group in the North pyrenees, who are awaiting additional troops still enroute through France from the Russian front.

Emporer as you know we have ambitions to fully colonise these lands to enable the empire to increase production greatly, especially for the war effort against the Turks in the future.

We would ask if France would consider joining us on this operation, and if so would direct you to target the cities in the central and southernregions of Spain.

We would be happy to once more fight along side our glorius allies, and be more than grateful for your assistance in these matters.

Our plan is to completely overwhelm their forces in the North and quickly occupy their cities, to this end we have secretly been supplying arms to the Castillian independance movement to help speed up the fall of Spanish power in the North.

Fools do not understand that they will be living under the British banner after the conflict

If you cannot commit forces then we understand. It is our plan to sweep down from the North once secure capturing their remaining cities and relieving Gibraltar from its inevitable siege.

Finally we would ask that after the war could you please hand over any holdings that you take in the process

My dear Emporer Paddy,

we have thought long and hard about the threat posed to both our great nations by the Ottoman empire, which it seems is brooding away down there looking for an opportunity to increase its power and holdings.

As you will remember the Milan crisis was a brief but most worrying time. Hordes of Turkish troops crossed our borders no doubt looking to flex their muscles and pick a fight with someone. I can tell you My cousin Berty and his family who are with the diplomatic core stationed in Milan, were horrified!, and he sent me daily reports of great unrest and fear in the city at that time.

It was only thanks to your swift diplomatic intervention that a disaster was averted on that occasion, but with the demise of Russia now almost complete, I feel it is only a matter of time before we have to face war with these people.

We have devised a plan for a joint attack on the turks if the need should arise, please peruse the charts and tell of your considerations.

Naturally we would wish to leave the situation alone untill we have settled the Spanish war, fighting on two fronts would we fell be very risky at this juncture. Ah best layed plans eh, if only life was so simple.

We deem it would be most advantageous if we could coordinate our forces when this attack commences. We consider the French forces best placed to atack at several points along the Austro/Turkish border, whist we land a massive force outside Istanbul essentially cutting off completely their southern cities preventing them from sending reinforcements from the south.

We hope to be able to capture Istanbul swiftly and to send a large naval fleet into the black sea to begin a blockade of all Turkish ports in the region. We have planty of ships for this task and a great many vessels are already headed for the region as this report is being typed.

we imagine the optimun timing for this operation to be at the start of 1811, 3yrs 6 months frommnow and after the Spanish war.

I would like to bring the Grand Armee down to the Blue Circle.
Then moving them along the blue lines...

Then Marechal Vandamme and III Corps can move in on Belgrade, thne onto Orsovo. Along the green lines.

If he is in this battle, Marechal Bessieres and VII Corp, then they will move on Mostar, then Skopje.

All the while Khrakov will be smashed by a small force from the Grand Armee.

The goal of these attackes is to literally smash the northern cities of the Ottoman Empire, and hopefully break the back of their Armies.

If and only if II & VII Corps can meet these objectives, they would then be used as the back stop for any Ottomen units getting loose into the rest of Europe.

Thus allowing the Grand Armee to swing through the rest of the Ottolands leaving the land in ruins.

I like your plans for Istanbul.

I would say it best for you to send Marachel Bessieres as intended to the Aystro/Ottoman borders. I think it best to be fully secured in this region, and if war should ensue to contain the fighting to Austrian ans Ottoman lands. Further the majority of British forces will be commited to Spain once we commence the operations, and we would feel much happier knowing there was a strong French presence close to Turkland.

Sir we would be most happy to hand the keys of the city of Barcelona to your mighty empire once the fightis over, we will hold initially as the city is on our first strike list of targets. Once the Battalion there has secured and healed we will vacate the premises. We feel this city would greatly enhance Frances posistion allowing much greater access to the Meditteranean

It will once again be a pleasure to fight at your side.

Please note that Marechal Drouet and II Corp are currently stationed throughout the south of France, at Marseilles, Montauban and Bordeaux. It is not much to have them grouped and on the march.

Please note II Corp consists of 5 Imperial Guard Rgts, 4 Imperial Cav Rgts, 11 Voltigeur Rgts. We are looking to add 1 or 2 Grand Batteree Rgts as well in the near future.

We are more than happy to assist you in your battles for Spain. To assist your growth, we agree here that we will not level any of the Spanish cities that we capture. We would be more than happy to hand over any captured cities to your Empire, although my staff would like Pampalona or Barcelona for the French Empire.

Add to this Marechal Bessieres and VII Corp are currently on their way to to relieve Marechal Vandamme and III Corps on the Austrian Ottoman Border just south of Venice. They can be diverted to Spain if you require it??? Please advise

Further to east I am leading the old Guard towards Ottoland. To this end I have dispatched several of my Cav Armies off on a faster pace.

Well an RoP with the Ottoman has been signed...
Yet still his troops advance on France.

The Grand Armee is on the move south, already several Cav Armies have moved into Ottoman terrirtory.

III & VII Corps are currently strung out throughout Austria leading these Ottoman on a wild ride.

II Corps is on its way to Milan district as discussed.

The fence holds. Greatly thanks to the Draft for new units to VII Corps. Marechal Bessieres certainly has his hands full at this time.

Marechal Vandamme and III Corps are regrouping and can be available for an attack on Belgrade within a turn or two.

Further to the east several of the Cavalry Marechal's have taken positions ready to strike and destroy Otto cities.

The Atlantic seaboard is a light for your ships.

3000 gold, what an amazing treasure. Many many units were rushed to completion with this.

We are glad to hear your preperations for Spain are going well.

We will commit a minimun of three corps to this adventure.

Marechal Bessieres’ VII Corp have poduced amazing results in the fence, as it grows and takes shape. So many units of the line just standing there...

As dicussed, a gap has been allowed for the two Ottoman Saphi. It will be interesting watching where they do go.

Napoleon and the Old Guard Cavalry have arrived outside of Odessa.

Marechal Lauriston and the Old Guard and the Old Guard Grand Batteries are still working there way down the old Russian roads.

Marechal Drouet’s II Corp is strung out as part of the fence all the way back to the Atlantic. It is hoped that he will have his troops in order for the spainish offensive.

Marechal Vandamme’s III Corps have regrouped, and now stand at the very gates of Belgrade.
