Emporer! we are in place to strike, we have made a change to our plans and have diverted the battalion that was to strike Barcelona away to antother target.

We felt that as France wishes to encompass this city into its mighty empire then perhaps they would relish the opportunity to capture this prize for themselves.

War has not been declared as of this time but we fully intend to begin the war next time.

I fully expected to capture 4 Spanish towns in this attack, but the reality is I was lucky to capture Pamplona!!

Paddy be aware they have massive garrisons in each town! between 10 and 20 units each. My attack has lost me at least two thirds of the troops I sent in to Spain and I have only captured 1 city, I think I am about to get seriously burned, unless you can swiftly shift large numbers into the region.

It was a nightmare, they kept dropping like flies!, this is why I wanted Spain to have a good production core, I knew from 2 coalition that spain can really spit the units out. I was going to move my palace their when secured.

It was horrible, I have spent absolutely ages shipping troops in from england for this attack and all the time they have been outproducing me.

At the same time it was exhilerating, the AI is giving me a kicking, watching them take their move at the save time was excrutiating, as they took out several cavs who were wounded.

They tried their best to beat up my navy but on this front my boys prevailed and made good account of themselves

Well what a ride

I have had to withdraw some troops and fortify others, they are so strong that it is useless attacking any city without enough force!!

So its time to regroup and get a stack together for an attack on another city.

There counter attacks are quite viscious ATM but Im hoping that attrition will start to decrease there resolve soon.

This is going to be tough, a very tough fight!

The wars in Spain escalate to new heights!! With the Ottoman empire joining in the scramble for Spanish assets.

We do not really welcome their intervention , because as you know we desire these lands as our own and would hate to see an Ottoman presence in Spain permanently.

But although we feel dismayed it has to be said that thier few Sipahi in the region did a good job of dying as they drew the Spaniards fire from my men

On a much more distressing note, we witnessed the Annihlation of one of France's most famous Armee's, please accept our deepest sympathy for your losses in this conflict. If it pleases you a little to know that your involvement and assistance is a massive boost to the morale of my forces who are proud to fight along side their French brothers in arms.

We hope you can swiftly avvenge the passing of your Marachel and his men.

If it is of help to you we have a small Artillery division moving in towards the Barcelona area, who can assist in retaking this town.

Also in this turn we saw much naval action, sinking thre Spanish vessels whom we believe were shipping units to Gibraltar.

From this action one of our Man O Wars initiated a golden age for our nation, this is great news for us as we should be able to vastly increas unit production.

Today we captured another Spanish town

Although Spain continues to put up a solid resistence I feel the tide has started to turn against them. French and now British units are pouring over the borders into her heartlands, tis a shame to be so brutal in this campaign but the Spanish people will soon be British!!

We must complete this mission as we need these lands for our empires growth!!
