My boys have commenced emarkation and sevral ships are on their way to the escort fleet.

It looks as though Austria has the roads well and truly clogged and Ill have difficulty getting through, so you may have to start without me and we should check whether their MPP with Otto is still in place before we start the war!!!

We have several issues with getting troops through to your lads in southern Austria, firstly as you well know the roads in the Austrian kingdom are some of the busiest and least developed in Europe, hence making passage for our Artillery almost impossible !

Secondly and most cunningly we feel the Austrians are wise to our intentions toward the Ottomans, and they have effectively blocked the Adriatic at its narrowest point, preventing my troop ships from depositing our promised troops to the northern Ottoman borders!!

In our next report we will provide some charts showing our predicament, and will also pinpoint to you our alternative suggested second landing zone for your perusal.

Well my Istanbul invasion fleet is ready to go, I have 64 units on board 16 transports just outside their waters within three turns of the desired disembarkation point.

Also Austria moved several units about last turn and I think I will now be able to get my secondary force over sea to the dyes tile I mentioned earlier.

I am say 2 turns off readiness for a declaration, but be aware Austria has MPP with the Turks !

What should we do about this, is there any way to get the turks to attack us on our own lands first to trigger MPPs against them ? I have MPP with Austria ATM for a further 7 turns.

Austria is pumping units into the border towns near Italy, I think they are worried I may attack them.

I have now managed to secure both a land route and have a flett of transports on their way up the Adriatic also

My Istanbul task force is ready to sail, comprising 16 full transports, about 14 ship of the line and 6 or 7 man o war as escorts.

I still worry that this will cause war with Austria also !

I am hoping that their MPP is nearly up.

Your wait for war is soon to be at an end my good man, we have some intelligence for you my friend.

Austria who is still MPP bound to the Ottomans, has currently 122 Grenzer guards, 56 Hussars and about 20 Grand Batteries, of this number she currently has garrisoned in Venice 16 Grenzer guard divisions, 37 Husars regiments and 1 grand battery!!!

This report means I will be unable to send the proposed second column of some 30 grand batteries and many divisions of Lifeguards to aid you in your attacks on the northern Ottoman cities.

We will no doubt now be facing a 2 front war, and I must first neutralise the threat Austria poses to my Italian holdings before I can come thropugh to assist your forces.

Next season I will send forth my task force for Istanbul, I am hoping to get some of the way in to the target disembarkation zone before the balloon goes up. Wait for my signal my friend, look to the skies for soon the beacons will be burning !!!

We have sailed into Turkish waters, but had sent in an advanced scout last turn. So we got the obligatory demand to leave which we ignored. Chances are next turn will be a get out or else and we shall be in a state of war!!!

We are at war too Sire, our naval fleet has sailed within reach of the landing zone next turn, we did however take several losses. Many brave sailors have forfeited their lives for this cause.

Fortunately their bravery prevented the Turkish dogs from actually getting too the troop transports and the force remains entact!! They will disembark next turn which should give jonny turk something else to think about

We also declared on Austria and have a stack of 80 plus units outside Venice

Our boys are finally ashore in Turkey, yes Jonny Turk will have something else to think about now, and to my amazement he has sent over 20 units out of the city heading north to fight with you Sire.

I just deposited 64 units outside his city which if it falls to me next turn will efectively cut his empire in half, and he blindly sends troops out into the countryside instead of defending his most strategically required city Duh stupid AI.

In other news Venice crumbled before our guns, we did take casualties to the tune of 10 or 11 Lifeguards regiments who were destroyed by the Austrians brave attempts to defend this city. Our number was too great for them though, as we had 56 lifeguards available for the assault after pounding the city with 40 Grand Batts

There are an estimated 27 fewer Austrian units living this evening, we think a sizable force moved out last turn and are heading towards your troops.

From the troop movements we witnessed at the save from both of our enemies we reckon they are both focusing their counter attacks on your troops and would suggest that you hunker down as many as you can into your newly aquired fort. We will send a relief stack from Venice next turn though will lose one turn because of cut roads.

I believe that the Turk will rethink his counter attack when he sees the Red Ensign flying over the city of Istanbul

Congratulations on the battle of Venice. This city can only further add greatness to your empire.

Your trrops around Istanbul will really set Jonny Turk back.

Napoleon and the Guard are moving on another city.

Chopping block fort will hold. Many troops have converged from many directions. It is all very messy, but we will avail. Your columns will be a welcome relief.

Istanbul tonight lies in our control, we have suceeded in our efforts, though the Battle was hard fought with many losses. estimates are 12 lifeguards regiments and 7 Household cavalry brigades!!

Their is a small counter force arrived but our cannon will make short work of these next turn. We have destroyed the roads to the north to slow down any Turk counter from that direction and will do the same in the south next turn.

We have spotted a large force of Sipahis heading north from Mostar towards Zagreb, we feel they will either attack Venice or intend to strike into France so be on your guard Sire!!
