Theben and The Doctor both look a little rattled after the brutality of the last round, and so carefully stare each other out, both taking an extremely defensive stance. The Doctor suddenly lowers his guard slightly, and Theben braces for the incoming onslaught. However it doesn’t appear, as The Doctor continues to stand there.
Suddenly, Theben attacks, a straight jab with his sword, trying to weaken The Doctor’s midsection. The Doctor by now has completely dropped his guard, and so Theben’s blow strikes squarely, doing a moderate amount of damage. For a split second, the two gladiators seem on relatively equal footing, both standing, injured, close enough that it’s hard to see what’s happened. Close enough that it takes a moment for the crowd to realise what has happened. While Theben lunged at The Doctor from close quarters, The Doctor’s wit slyly pierced Theben’s chest armour.
The crowd is silent, waiting to see the result, everyone on the edge of their seats. Then they see a smile creep across The Doctor’s face, and they know. Theben falls backward, sprawled out on the floor, his armour slowly turning crimson. The Doctor takes a respectful look at his defeated opponent, then turns to face the crowd. The crowd cheers. They know what has happened. The Doctor has pierced the heart of his opponent, who now lies dead before him.
The crowd begins to cheer loudly, chanting “Doc, Doc, Doc…”.
* Drogue rushes over and takes Theben’s pulse. There isn’t one. He turns to the crowd, and exclaims plainly, as seems fitting for the occasion:
“Theben is dead. The Doctor is victorious.”
The crowd continues to cheer. But who would his opponent be...
The Doctor has won, with 28 HP remaining, bringing Theben to exactly 0.

I've been very busy tonight. I will try to write the story for the second semi final tonight, and get that posted too. Sorry for the delay.
