Theben slowly and purposefully walks out of his area, standing firm and looking out for any blows. What he was not expecting, however, was to see the nimble figure of The Doctor rushing toward him. The Doctor pounces upon Theben. Obviously startled, Theben spins. As The Doctor connects with Theben’s temple, Theben manages a small jab to The Doctor’s rear end.
Exhausted, The Doctor waits a second to catch his breath, as Theben turns to face him, and plunges his sword down onto his foot, causing it to appear as if the crimson river is eating away at it.
The Doctor looks up, and while Theben blocks what he expects as the counter attack, The Doctor twirls, spins, and pirouettes in a flurry of little fake blows, before sticking his deadly rapier wit directly into Theben’s navel. Theben’s retaliation, holding his sword out and catching The Doctor’s hand as he spins, is pitiful.
Theben falls to the floor, stunned by the ferocity of The Doctor’s attacks, while his blocking was, he thought, a considerable deterrent. As Drogue stands to see if he’s finished, Theben manages to crawl to his feet, and find his way back to his area. The Doctor is also worse for wear, and walks with a considerable limp, his foot obviously causing distress.
The crowd goes wild. This is the bloodbath they wanted. This is the excitement, with one gladiator playing it reasonably safe, and the other launching ferocious attacks, leaving himself open. Has the winner been decided? The crowd believes The Doctor is hurting more than he let on, and so watches intensely for a possibly Theben comeback.
* Drogue is happy. It seems a worthwhile fight is turning out. Ferocious, bloody, and still close enough to turn.
The Doctor has 48 HP remaining and Theben has 26 HP.

Skanky Burns strolls out of his area, with a wily, powerful stance and a small attack, that yields a little of Spacius Maxiumus’s blood from his right leg. However, as Skanky ducks to make the cut, Spacius drives his sword down, into Skanky’s back. Skanky rolls to the side, but still the blow does considerable tissue damage.
Unperturbed, Skanky launches back. A strong uppercut with his sword catches Spacius on the chin, knocking him back. Spacius kicks his boot up, while backpeddling a little, and connects with Skanky’s face, crunching his nose.
Skanky puts his hand to his nose, feeling the river of blood flowing from it, looks at Spacius, and adopts a defensive stance, waiting for the last attack. However, that attack does not materialise, as Spacius, still a little stunned from Skanky’s last blow, catches his breath.
As with the other semi-final, one gladiator seems to play quite safely, but attaking, while the other goes almost all out, leading to quite a contest. Both semi-finals were almost exactly equally bloody, and the crowd loves looking at the match-ups, and the exciting matches they provide. Loud cheering is heard.
* Drogue looks at the state of the gladiators. While not quite wavering, as both gladiators trying to appear stable and uninjured, both are obviously in pain. A little stumble by Skanky seems to indicate who is on top thus far, but the difference does not seem to be considerable…
Skanky Burns has 35 HP remaining and Spacius Maxiumus has 57 HP.

OOC: I have a couple of excel graphs that I’d like to post, if anyone knows how (?) of the HP left, damage done each round, and total damage done by each gladiator. It shows how the matches have progressed so far.
As a little titbit, I can also reveal that the most damage done in one hit so far is 26, the most damage in a single round by one gladiator is 52, and the most stylish attack is 41 (all after weapons/armour modification.
