Well, I view things in the context that Bush was affected quite a bit by two very emotional events. First, Saddam tried to kill his dad and second, the 9/11 attacks. We would all like to think that a president could detach himself emotionally when discharging the duties of his office but the vast majorioty of us would have been overwhelmed by the responsibility Bush faced.

Add in the fact that he was clearly surrounded by hawks and you can see why he choose the plan of action that we have been following.

I believe Bush to be a good man who has made some mistakes. Most of us, in the same situation, would have probably acted in a similar way.

Any arrogance you may detect is that of a man who is acting on his convictions. IMO.

That "joke" is a slap in the face to the family of every soldier who has died so far in Iraq. Poking fun at one's self is great, but this crossed the line into a tasteless joke about a critical issue. First they lie about WMD, now they have the gaul to make jokes about them? Outrageous, indeed.

At first I didn't really care, even thought it was a little funny. But thn I realized, it was making light of the deaths of all those people who've died. Rather unpresidential, but that's what I've come to expect from this President.
