Those poor people who doubted Kipper should be eating their words by now.

I have no doubt Kipper made the difference tonight, and in other games. Even good goalies like Belfour wouldn't have done as well. Playoff experience means jack **** when you have a notoriously calm, collected, and concentrating goalie.

I picked Kippy in my pool so I know he's a good goalie.

I just figured the Canucks with Cloutier would be able to bottle up Calgary.

They've done that, but just have not scored enough themselves.

Come off it. Kiprusoff is a good goalie, but he's hardly notorious. Remember a couple of years ago when Theodore looked great in the playoffs and then fell apart at the end. Same thing could happen to Kiprusoff.

Belfour on the other hand has proven how good he is. He's got two cups behind him and two shut-outs this round against a much better team then the Canucks. Kiprusoff hasn't done anything yet.

The Canucks were not much of a challenge, especially after losing Cloutier. When Calgary beats the Wings, and they will, then you will have something to talk about.

Auld ain't shabby if he holds the 'cup bound' flames to 2 goals.

Either Calgary has a horrible offense, or the man is a good goalie.

2 goals on 20 shots is not good.

Calgary's offense needs work, but when you've got Kipper in net you've got some buffer space.

I'd say Vancouver's chance of winning two in a row coming off a 4-0 and 2-1 loss with Hedburg or Auld is slim to none.

Playing well doesn't do you any good when the goalie is exceptional and you can score just enough goals.

Tonight is a great example of why you can't win. Your offense was on fire, you had lots of great shots and you outshot us 33-20, but you still lost.

So even when your offense is awesome and ours is horrible, you can't win. What makes you think it'll be any different at Saturday's Calgary home game? Further, what makes you think you can do it TWICE in a row against a team which blanked you 4-0 not two days ago?

True, but the team that consistently gets outshot by such a wide margin isn't a positive indicator of the quality of the team.

This same goalie got ventilated for 5 goals on 20 shots not too long ago, if I remember correctly.

In his first postseason game, on 5 powerplay goals, with the loss of our only really good penalty killer.

Ever since then his GAA is ~0.95. Should be lower, because of the obvious non-goal in game 2(?).
