Flames -- The good thing was it wasn't just Kiprisoff, although he was a big factor-- I simply thought that the Flames deserved to win the game on overall effort. Also, the return of Yelle is bigger for the Flames than most people realize. he strengthens their penalty kill and digs hard all the time.


Montreal -- They have now outplayed Boston in 3 of the 4 games but quite simply Raycroft has been the difference . . . That plus some stupid Montreal plays-- what was Markov THINKING to allow a man to stand in front of the net long enough to stop the puck and get a shot off ??!! Any hockey I have played, you do everything including MUG the guy with 20 seconds left. If you take a penalty SO WHAT. The Boston player should have been face first on the ice.

and Kovalev-- I'm flabbergasted-- I don't care if both bones in his arm are fractured . . . you take care of the puck-- that was just painful to watch. He just stopped playing.

For much of the 3rd period and all of the first overtime I knew Boston would win. Montreal's inability to convert on their MANY MANY scoring chances had to cost them-- I've seen it dozens of times-- If the dominanting team does not open a gap, the other team always buries the one chance they get
