How did Kiprusoff play? Should they yank him for the second game and go with Turek?

Give him one more chance then. But if the Flames lose again, they need to go with Turek.
Maybe the Flames just had the jitters.

Nah, one game does not make a series.

Gotta love the experts. Here's a couple of things written before the first Flames-Canuck game:
"Flames LW Ville Nieminen could cause trouble in the typically fight-free playoffs. The Flames, the best shot to become this year's Ducks, have an edge with Nieminen; he can hurt a less disciplined team by causing players to lose their tempers. . . . "
http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/news?sl...v=tsn&type=lgns
From the Globe:
"The games will be defensive minded and low scoring."

I agree-- Montreal was flat flat flat but they still manages 31 shots IIRC so its not like they were hemmed in their own end the whole night.
Calgary has to learn how to penalyty kill FAST-- ouch I mean 4 power play goals . .. and the flames can't blame the refs as they had an equal number of power play chances.
Kiprisoff was human and allowed a number of goals that were deflections or in off a foot or quick pass one-timers. I think you stick with him-- The only thing is that Turek was pretty hot late in the season ( couple of shut-outs IIRC) but for now I think the Flames have to " dance with the one that brung 'em"

The other games
Detroit did as I expected although it was probably a bit of a shock to give up a goal 16 seconds in. People were probably prematurely cursing Legace .. .
The AVS-- I picked Dallas based on their strong second-half but I always thought that the AVs could go all the way. They just seem so talented but I guessed that the combo of Aebesher and and underperforming group of forwards would mean that they would not handle the Stars. One game is not the series but those AVs looked good. Aebescher gave up one weak goal but looked fantastic and in control otherwise

Ottawa Toronto tonight!!!
I was looking at some history on these two and in the past Ottawa owned Toronto in the regular season but got killed in the playoffs. This year Toronto owned the regular season . . . could this mean Ottawa might finally get the Toronto tiger off their back.??

Let's go, Sens!
My prediction may say that the Leafs will go to the finals, but my heart wishes for them to go down in 4.

Philly beats NJ 3-2. Wow. Esche looked good tonight... But I still think Brodeur's gonna pull 'em through in the end.
Tampa beats NYI 3-0. Things seem to be going according to plan.
