if the game was more exciting i would play quicker and spend less time in real life.


i do beleive that some pbem games are simply too unbalanced for true enjoyment, and if others have similar starts to me then this game is going to be one long drag....

ever played a pbem to the end paddy??

as these are my first attempts at one i find them slighlty more enjoyable than a SP game in that you know their some real person on the other side of th ehill, but at same time i find SP games are more fun overall .

what these pbem games are lacking is a story. and some interaction.

this is way too long to paly a game with other humans and have no interactions...

yes I have played several through to a completion....

and yes we should have a lot more interaction... Ok on that front I will get into this a bit more with this game

and I hope that the rest of you all will as well...

The game is still just getting started. Rasputin isn't the only one that is isolated. He just complains the most and slows the game down. I'm not happy in all my games either, but I try to keep up the pace as I feel I made a commitment to my fellow players in the game.

Speed of turns is no enjoyment to me, i play MP games for the interaction , that means posting more than jsut "sent" every turn.

I prefer to role paly my nation, to play the character, that is what is missing from these games.

A late comer to Deus Ex

He didn't leave a notice in the thread for absences.

He's been complaining about this game all the time. Wouldn't it be an idea to releave his civilization from their pain and erase them? Or maybe someone wants to play from a though position.

Yes Rasputin has been posting in various places...

and you are correct that he did not post in the absences thread

as to replacing him, I personally think that is not kosher, afterall he foundered this game

and he has notified some of his situation in not being able to play civ at this time, thus my post above about him not being available for some time

oh yeah, he can post via the pc at his work, but at this time his boss is resisting efforts to have civ III c3c locked and loaded on any work pc's

ahh it is all good

think of it as a holiday

when we get back into it we will have lost so many of our strategies and really have to work hard to get going

as to Raz pushing for things to happen, well that be Raz all over
