In spite of being days away from ASS Apolyton, Lj Cvetko feels the strong presence of a killing force there. He hears the cries of desperate people trapped in this space tomb.

That's not the only thing Lt. Commander Cvetko is able to sense. In his keen understanding of human psyche, he distinguishes this killing force in two entities. He is certain of it.

Lj Cvetko is already at the distance at which he could normally communicate with a fellow Vulcan. But alas, there is none aboard ASS Apolyton.

However, Lj Cvetko wouldn't have risen that high in Star Fleet had he given up at the very first minor obstacle. There is a way Lj Cvetko can start to communicate with the crew of ASS Apolyton in a very short time.

There is an entity aboard ASS Apolyton which though by far inferior to Vulcans is capable of relaying the message intended for the human recipients and at the level of complexity they can begin to comprehend. This entity is Jamski2000, ship's central computer. Lj Cvetko will start his communications as soon as he can arrange the protocol with Jamski2000. For now he just sends his greetings.

"Hi", conveyed Jamski2000 the message from Lj Cvetko.
