Although it was unusual, Mr Chaunk was taking some time of work to "muse". Things were going well. There had been the usual reports of people flocking to the bastion of the credit, and yet the hordes had yet to come.

"Good!" he unconsciously said out loud. "More for the rest of us!" Although he was a lowly janitor, Mr Chaunk had more wealth than most factions leaders could dream of. His personal fortune was estimated at 7.8 E.c.'s and according to his stockbroker, it was only going to increase from here.

However, it seemed as if there was no one nearby to gloat over. Whilst fewer certainly equals richer, it also equals lonelier.

Mr Chaunk voice activated his I-net terminal and placed the following ad.

My dear Jamski, I'm sure you're aware that even the most humble of workers (such as myself) in Morgan industries has wealth far exceeding even your wildest dreams. But then, they do say that soldier training dulls the mind to all of lifes pleasures...

Small military demading extortionate support costs and poking thier noses in where they're not needed (unlike in some factions)

OOC : I've played my best games with the Morgans, and my worst games with the Spartans. Time to give Santiago's lot a chance, as I feel I would learn a lot more than another Morgan run.

However... should the Spartans not make the final cut, my veteran's pension money will be spent on Morgan Industries stock papers

I am seeking more of a team willing to hire out their services. I don't expect to become high ranking as I am still rather novice at the game itself. However, if the Morgans, in their eternal quest for money, would see fit that their military should be hired out as yet another source of INCOME....

That would indeed interest me greatly, and I have been working on the concept some in other demogames and PBEM's in Civ3, so can help with the structure and implimentation of such a...BUSINESS.

Also I think we should keep up on this shares of Morgan Industries theam, it could be used to organize our future goverment, we would sell stock and trade it with people to see who runs the faction.

Only problem with Morganic Mercenaries is that their would likly have crappy Moral (running Wealth) and they induce high support costs in minerals.

Morgan WEAPON MANUFACTURING though is a usefull tool, as he can rush buy and transfer units and charge a premium price for it to industry poor factions (yes you know who I am refering too). Also their the option of Reserch for Profit as Morgan often has plenty of Energy income.

It would be very morganite to hire out their military, although that would need more discusion I feel. To be fair, it seems as if only Morgan (and perhaps Sparta) would do such mercenary things... It does strike me a viable scheme, and one that all the stockholders should serioulsy consider!

Morgan's Mercenaries could become feared (and perhaps even scorned by the spartans for being too wet behind the ears!) and paid for by the plebs as we wish. I'm intruiged by that propasal actually.... hopefully it will get more support!

Oh, and obstructor, I fear you should contact the angels sooner, as your horde of planetpearls seems to have mysteriously appeared in their possesion. Curiouser and curiouser!

A mere fraction of the bones I fear... We're in dire need of some of the more experienced players who are currently in teams in the DG atm. Purely going on this thread, we have three lucrative members atm, and whilst that represents perhaps a good core, it's not sufficient for a DG team I fear. We will certainly need at least two more (although I'm obviously hoping for many more than that!) to make a viable stab at being a team.
