In response to the above Communique from the Jonchastan Coordinating Congress, Guardinia announced today that it was commiting its' forces to the defense of Free Azan!
At 03:30 hours this morning, Guardinian naval forces entered the patrol zone guarded by the League of Armed Neutrality and began linking up with LAN naval forces patrolling this area.
At 04:00, Guardinian forces began two major amphibious landing operations north and west of New Aurora.
The joint Cerooan-Guardinian Fleet is also reported to be entering Azani Waters and approaching the coast. Specific details of the fleet's mission are not available at this time, but it is evident that something big is going on.
Stay with us as follow this morning's developments minute by minute.

Inside Occupied Azan somewhere
Brewer's group rushed over to the attack helicopter downed just moments ago, assault rifles in hand. Stump yelled excitedly, "These Viper things work like the blazens!" They could see the wreckage ahead by moonlight, and there's a body lying just a metre or two from it.
The group found two of the four men crew lying outside the helo, with one of them alive. The two remained inside were dead. Brewer barked out orders, "Sam, try to keep that man alive. Stump, Bill and Tom, quickly check what we can salvage. Joe and Mike, we move ahead to adopt a defensive position. Stewart, help Sam to move the prisoner back. Ten minutes later we fall back. Now go."

General Yoon gave the colonel a hard, scrutinizing look. She held it far longer than was comfortable for the Noosland officer, then sighed.
"Right. I suppose I either have to trust you, or toss you out on your ear. With Noosland standing outside of both of the 'good guy' alliances, it's not an easy thing to do... but then again you're no Auldoninna."
"I should hope not," said Colonel Downings, a hard smirk forming on his face.
"Azani forces are on the move in the North and East. We're covering for them in case things go sour. That means Jonchastani and other League forces may be moving, but except for a handful of advisors, we're committed to taking a defensive posture."
General Yoon paused, as if considering whether or not she should continue.
"Frankly, Colonel, your offer is almost too good to be true. It fits in exactly with how we're already operating. But I'm going to give you - and Noosland - the benefit of the doubt. If you're serious about your offer, you may want to send those soldiers of yours up A-7 to Roshem."
Colonel Downings pulled up the map of Azan from his memory, "Roshem, as in occupied territory?"
The general smiled and answered, "Not for long."

General Frankychan read the communique from Auldonina and smiled. Auldonina was threatening him. What Auldonina didn't realize was that with exclusive trade agreements between Frankychanland and the Hive, the Hive wouldn't let a threat like this pass. Already, Frankychanland's open-door policy to Hive forces meant that his country was swarming with their military personnel. An attack on Frankychanland would mean an attack on the Hive.
Frankychan called for his secretary.
"Take this down."

DOCUMENT TO: THE NATION OF AULDONINA
While past circumstances have scattered our former alliance to the far corners of the Apolyton region, I have to say that your threat of catastrophic proportions to be highly exaggerated.
As you may or may not know, the government of Azan had asked for our help in ridding their nation of "outsider influence" and asked for Frankychanland's assistance...seeing as how we are their cousins to the North. My country, has with the Hive's assistance, helped in expelling the foreign invaders.
Unfortunately, there still remains a small blight that stubbornly remains and refuses to acknowledge the Azani government's request of foreign expulsion from their lands....but we are working on it.
As such, FCL forces and, if Chairman Lazerus permits, Hive forces will REMAIN in Azani territory until we can pacify the local citizenry into productive citizens of the new Azan.
Your personal threat to myself has been noted and acknowledged. However, I doubt that even your nation can survive an attack by Hive and FCL forces. Your recent actions of "waving the nuclear flag of war" has unsettled the nations of the Apolyton region. An act of aggression on your part might be seen as the beginning of a nuclear world war if you are not careful.

"Free Azan" village
Inside the FCL-Hive occupation zone of Azan
The FCL armored column continued to blast their propaganda message at the hapless village. Major Hamer, commander of the FCL armored column, couldn't wait much longer.
A radio message clicked in from FCL command.
Cease propaganda operations. Enter village. Round up any villagers and have them shipped to Frankychanland homeland. Burn village to the ground. Any resistance should be met with typical FCL force.
Major Hamer grinned.
"Alright boys, fire up our engines. We're going in."

The first armored tank crashed through a local house without much effort. So far, no shots had been fired....yet.
A FCL soldier grabbed a male by the arm along on of the sidewalks.
"Come with me! You will be led to safety!"
The Azani, obviously uncooperative,struggling and shouting in his native tongue to be let go.
Another FCL soldier walked up to the struggling villager and struck the man with his rifle butt, knocking the villager unconscious.
"Drag this man to one of the holding trucks. We can't have anymore delays."

Major Hamer established his command HQ in one of the larger buidlings in the village. Radio equipment and troop facilites were being set up fairly quickly.
"Get command on the line. Tell them the occupation of the Azani village is almost complete. Awaiting further instructions."

FCL forces, not as numerous as their Hive allies, continued down toward the capital of Free Azan.
The largest FCL force was ordered to make Tel Zach the command center of all FCL forces within the Azani territories, under the command of General Akihiro Momotaro.

Here's the (somewhat rushed) map I promised before, showing the attack on Roshem.
edit: changed the map to fix the highway names and add more urban sprawl. Azani forces in red, FCL/Hive in orange. The stars represent armed uprisings, the circle is the main FCL garrison within Roshem (most of the troops tend to avoid the urban centres  )
