ETHNIC CLEANSING BY FCL FORCES! the newspaper titles screamed.
Gabriel was in a sombre mood. "It seems that although our liberation efforts are proceeding very well, there might just be nothing left to liberate." He sighed, looking at the intelligence reports. "Well, I guess I shouldn't expect anything more from the FCL."
"CE, what are you planning to do about the entire Tel Azan situation?" Eliyahu asked. "I don't think they want to keep the city, but I am rather certain that they're going to ask for some concessions, if they capture it for us. But there is no way that they're going to capture it, without the help of our men inside the cities."
"That just means that the Auldoninans are going to use more fire power when 'liberating', " Eliyahu grunted. "So I think that we should cooperate with them, lest nothing remains of Tel Azan."
"Actually, I think that I'll send Auldonina a message right now. Call in the secretary".
To Auldoninan higher command:
We urge you to refrain from using heavy handed tactics when capturing the city. Millions of our compatriots' lives are at stake. Instead, I ask you that put a seige on the city, and secure the Azan valley, for the sake of all of the forces of the coalition.
-"In any case, how are the forces in the field?"
-" Oh, we just reached the Tel Azan-Concept freeway on the west coast. Concept is surrounded"
-"Well, start tightening the ring. Remember, that the tighter we surround them, the move villages and townships are safe from FCL grasp. Maybe they won't ship them into slave camps, but they'l just butcher them, like they're used to."

Centralis Command Post, Northeast Guardinia
"...so, we now have over 50 000 combat troops in defensive positions around Guardinia, plus several rapid-response units able to intervene in Azan if need be - given the firepower we're providing, I'd say that Guardinia ahs become a much harder target than before. Thus, I think it's about time we saw to Phase II: give the Azanis whatever assistance they may need."
General Laurence Brandt nodded thoughtfully as his colleague finished speaking; the same thoughts ahd been running through his head. Of course, it didn't look as though the Azanis needed much help at the moment, but that could change, and in any case, anything that could speed their victory up and save some lives was worth doing.
"My thoughts exactly. Sende the Azanis the following message..."
* * *
TO: Free Azani Command
FROM: General Laurence Brandt, Commander of all Centralis forces in Guardinia
SUBJECT: Offer of Assistance
MESSAGE:
Our country has been monitoring your resistance for some time, waiting for the right moment to intervene and help you free yourselves. As matters stand, that intervention appears unnecessary, but I have been authorized by my superiors to offer you whatever indirect help you may require; food, medical supplies, weapons, ammunition, intelligence information, whatever. Just ask, and you'll get it. If, for any reason, you need direct assistance, make the request, and I'll pass it on to my superiors.
Maye Azan soon be free once again.

Joncha: sweet! how do you cook those maps is beyond me, but my hat is off to you.
Oh, and Franky, you're fully right. You're in full right to do whatever you wish, and RP it. However, don't just think that I am winning because I am the "the rightful owner" of this country. It's because you're massively outnumbered. You can, however, win, by joining forces with other people, etc. cooking up stuff, etc. Just look at Rasputin.

Message to Free Azani Peoples
Greetings compatriots,
We trust this message finds you well. As promised, the fleet is being mobilised and is due to arrive at the intended co-ordinates sometime soon to bolster the liberation effort.
We would also like to inform you that a transport vessel containing several of your generals who were evacuated from FCL-occupied Azani territory by INS Fable [ooc: started it but didn't take it anywhere] is en route to yourselves.
Kind Regards

Amphibious assault ships Wasp and Stinger approaching the Azan coast.
(These things kind of look like mini aircraft carriers, don't they? )

"Right. I suppose I either have to trust you, or toss you out on your ear. With Noosland standing outside of both of the 'good guy' alliances, it's not an easy thing to do... but then again you're no Auldoninna." |
Colonel Downings stood up from his chair, his right hand held up at the end of an outstretched arm.
"Excuse me, general," his voice took on an edge that he was trying to hide, "did I hear something wrong? Are you comparing us with those insane characters at Auldoninna?"
Downings paused for a moment, his gazes became hard. "I realise that Jonchastan is a young nation, but you surely know of our sterling reputation in the region. We have never been an aggressive or domineering nation - in fact, our nation has been pushing mutual multilateral relations for decades.
"Last time we operated outside our border, we were involved with the rescue of the royalty of the Kingdom of Wine from coup conspirators. What about that time we liberated a marijuanian cruiser from terrorists?"
He sat back down on the chair.
"Look outside, general. Our combat engineers turned the makeshift airstrip into an airfield that the biggest transport planes could land. We created fortified defensive positions stretching all the way around the perimeters."
"If we are going to cooperate, you have to trust us."
"Now where were we?"

"Azani forces are on the move in the North and East. We're covering for them in case things go sour. That means Jonchastani and other League forces may be moving, but except for a handful of advisors, we're committed to taking a defensive posture."
General Yoon paused, as if considering whether or not she should continue.
"Frankly, Colonel, your offer is almost too good to be true. It fits in exactly with how we're already operating. But I'm going to give you - and Noosland - the benefit of the doubt. If you're serious about your offer, you may want to send those soldiers of yours up A-7 to Roshem." |
"General, that's because it wasn't too hard to guess your defensive plans with your men in position," Colonel Downings smiled.
"Now, about going Roshem, our forces may be stretching too thin to hold against Hive/FCL counterattacks. We have only two divisions to put into position, and that's not enough to hold a defensive line 10's of kms long.
"As I understand it, Guardinian forces landed just north of here. It would be much better if they take up the defense of Roshem."
