Tuberski was the only one? Hmm, he has been unusually quiet this game.

Tuber has been quiet, but so have others.

quote:
Objects tripped over:

round metal object - kicked by snowfire.
brittle something with sharp points - stood on by Guynemer
rope - tangled alva up
Tuberski tripped over nothing interestingly enough, and found MattH fine, seemingly before he started to become ill.
flat and wooden object - stumbled over by Hercules.

Round metal->shield
Brittle with points->Weapon of some sort
Rope-> rope or part of a net
wooden-> Wooden shield?

The objects could also belong to a chariot racer.

Metal --> weaponry or armor
Pointy things --> those things attached to the wheels of the chariot
Rope --> to control the horses with
Wood --> a component of the chariot, the base perhaps.

Also, the first two victims stiffened, whereas the next three have excreted their bowels...

The round metal object is a shield or the gold plate used by Rasputin.
A 11ft long bloody spear, was also mentioned, and found behind Rah 's bar.

Both these were mentioned in a ceremonial context.

Then there is the rope
and the flat wooden board I tripped over. I am puzzled by this and the rope.
There was also straw on the ground at the start. For a horse??

But don't forget the brittle something with sharp points: A trident as used in combat.

and yes Tuberski didn't trip on anything suggesting he knew his way around in the dark.

So to me these suggest a Gladiator or a charioteer and not the priests afterall

Somebody needs to do some explaining and DrSpike that swift move to finger Tuberski is also suspicious.

I think those objects are pretty vague, and could be anything. The clues just mention a round metal and a flat wooden object, with some rope and a brittle object with sharp points. The latter 2 clearly aren't weapons, and the first 2 could be anything.

I think there is a clue in Flameflash's parts in the story, which is why out of the 2 priests I went for Rasputin. We haven't discounted the curse theory.

Of course we should worry about the quiet one sitting there laughing at never getting voted for by never posting. Jamski doesn't usually make an exception in the story without a reason. The fact that Tuberski was the only one not to trip does make me suspicious, and if me being suspicious about that is suspicious Hercules, then so be it.

Edit: And Kassi edited his post to change his vote.

Well, we have 2 gladiators, a charioteer, and a blacksmith.

I'll go with DrSpike based solely on the grounds it'd be fun to pwn him in 2 games at once.

So the rope and the sharp object aren't a net and a trident, those objects used by a gladiator that "clearly aren't weapons"? Like you say, the clues are pretty vague, but combined with the other objects they're fairly damning to the gladiators, especially considering your overly defensive stance, and Tuberski's fleet footedness.

Hehe well if pointing out those objects could be anything is too defensive then I'm too defensive.

I don't think any weapons are brittle, and do gladiators use rope?

I think Jamski is sitting there laughing as we make lame attempts at putting his herrings together. I still think what Flameflash is trying to say each time is more important than the objects. I don't think he is trying to confess though.

Now if next round Tuber gets voted out or killed my theory is shot, but then things will point more to DrSpike... so hopefully we'll nail fairly soon now.

Tired of ads?

Geez. This is tricky. I will say this- why on earth would a gladiator kill in such a tricky style? Even if the bit about slaves messing with food was a red herring, gladiators would be more likely to be the stabby stabby types. And if they were being tricky, why would they leave their stuff behind in the toileterium? And shouldn't the poisoning have happened long before?

Some metagame thoughts here. Who likes killing in weird ways? I assume that the killer rather than Jam still gets to choose their style. Kassiopeia had the weird alien aging gun, so it might be him. And Theben has a cute Cthulu in his avatar, so it might be him as well.

Hmph. I guess I'll go for fellow gladiator Dr. Spike, but I'm really not sure.

That's a great move Snowfire. If I die and the killings continue, as they will, then guess which gladiator will be next? As you said it's way too sneaky a method for us anyway.

Suffering from ads?

I can say with certainty that no one is onto one of the big clues yet. I made them harder after "pummelo" was found too easily.

So hah!

I'm not saying if anyone's accusations are correct or not (of course) but were you to find the big clues... well... I'd expect a 100% docpile.

pummelo was a clue for HongHu. Apparently it's a type of grapefruit, and this was a reference to her Grapefruit Stories in the OT.

Speaking of which, we haven't had many recently HH.
