1.3 The French refuse to acknowledge our envoy
1.4 The Spanish refuse to acknowledge our envoy
1.5 The Babylonians refuse to acknowledge our envoy
1.6 The Americans refuse to acknowledge our envoy
1.7 Signed Peace with Japan - they pay 2 gpt for this.
1.8 Sold Gems to Japan - they pay 12 gpt for this
1.9 The Aztecs refuse to acknowledge our envoy

2. City Management
2.1 WF in Thor's Hammer: +1 scientist, -1 entertainer
2.2 WF in Build More Boats: +1 grassland, -1 sea (fish)
2.3 Production changed in Build More Boats. Now producing harbour instead of pikeman (complete in 6 turns)
2.4 Maximized shield production in BigFurryCity, by using shield-grasslands that were previously used by neighboring cities. We now only need 25 turns to complete the Forbidden Palace.
2.5 WF in Palace of Ice and Snow: +1 plains, -1 sea
2.6 WF in Penguin's Revenge: +1 sea, -1 scientist
2.7 WF in Polar Bear Club: +1 forest
2.8 Starving Hot House. +8 scientists, -4 grassland, -4 entertainers.
Explanation: Hot House is a thorn in our side since the beginning. It is full of Spaniards, who hate us. To keep this 8 pop. city functioning, we need 4 entertainers. And this for the benefit of getting one shield and one commerce. By starving the city, we don't lose anything (no shields, no commerce), except culture-flip-prone Spaniards. Besides, the 8 extra scientists help our research significantly: Instead of discovering Military Tradition in 9 turns, we'll discover it in eight.

3. Unit moves
3.1 Moved 4 berzerkers from E-E-SE of Spiffor Burg to SW-SW of Valhalla
3.2 Moved Thor's Sickle caravel to Hot House (arrival next turn)
3.3 Moved the caravel stack SE of Fields of Gold
3.4 Two galleys go from Spanish Are Greedy to Raiding Base

4. Worker jobs
4.1 Two workers N of Build More Boats start mining. One slave starts building a road.
4.2 One worker and one slave go from the forest NW-N of Vadso to S of Build More Boats
4.3 One Slave W-NW of It's Cold Out There goes S of Build More Boats

5. Science
5.1 Science rate is now 50%

We are making 3 gpt. We will discover Military Tradition in 8 turns. Our forbidden Palace will be complete in 25 turns

Between turns - 1300 AD to 1305 AD

A Persian transport, escorted by a battleship, has been spotted. It seems to have stopped NE-NE-N of Spiffor Burg
The Celts offer to trade territory maps. They have agreed to pay 4 gold instead.
Egypt and Babylon have signed a trade embargo against us.
Babylon destroyed an improvement N of New Asgard
Rome has brought an escorted transport near our southeasternmost city, Mendes. If we can't strike a deal with them, the invasion begins next turn.
Fields Of Gold completes library. Builds university.
HotHouse lose one pop of starvation
Pheonix builds a temple. Now works on a pikeman
The Persians are building the Manhattan Project

And this closes session #45. We now have tangible threat of land based invasions, and we need to plan on them.

Yep
Don't forget that in absolute numbers, we still are a significant power (at least compared to the minor power s that are Japan and Celts.

However, the Koreans didn't pay us for peace, but they paid us a fat sum to not trade with Russia. And for a reason: Russia doesn't have iron, which considerably weakens it.

Wow... when that deal is up we'd better remember to check with each of them will pay - the Russians for their Iron, and Korea for us NOT giving Russia Iron!
