MACEDONIA - It's the name of the sovereign country to the north of Greece

Oh, and of course, we currently have a small number of very well trained regulars, but plenty of our people, including those under the occupation, are former professional military people. Our platforms include a small number of surviving hightech jets, and our vehicles are Ultra high-tech, but light, like Medium tanks ( think late soviet tanks, all computerized, and Bradley APCs, also featuring the latest, and some stuff that's not from the real world, like optic wiring ) , due to the heavy damage to manufacturing facilities around the country, and the raritty in resources. It's actually amazing that we retained manufacturing facilities for entire armored vehicles altogether.

OK, I'm back from my little weekend holiday and I've just finished skimming through all the stuff you guys have been up to while I was away. It's the middle of the night here now and I'm going to work in the morning, so I won't be responding much until tomorrow some time.
For future reference: Guardinia is very big in media (book publishing, movie making and information technology). The country is rich on gold and various minerals and is also big in manufacturing industries (making cars, toys, trucks, ships, aircraft, weapons, etc.) Still, the economy is not as good as it could be because the government has been pouring billions and billions into various humanitarion endeavours with little or no long term profits to the "investor". The Guardinian military is relatively small in numbers for a country of Guardinia's size, but well equipped and well trained - the idea being to get as much "bang for the buck" as possible. However, with the current state of the economy, Guardinia will have to dig very deep in their national money bag to cover their expenses related to the Azan crisis and their increased readyness on the border to Western Apolyton. There is already speculation about what the possible consequences of a prolonged crisis might be, with some sources saying that if this crisis lasts for more than another month or two, Guardinia will be forced to either stand down or call for aid...

as for my western apolyton ally, even if that didnt exist , under the three terrotory rule, i could have claimed the territpry anyway as i only have two so far.

Then what about me? I only have one territory so far. But of course, I've already accepted your alliance with Western Apolyton, so it's OK as far as I'm concerned. Just thought I'd mention it...

Ok, discussion time....
Azazel-How did you want to reclaim Azan, diplomatically or militaristic-campaign style?
Of course, military campaign would be more interesting.....
More info on Frankychanland:
Everything is nationalized. While we do have products, they are all created by the State. This means that we DO have variation of products (ex, Shampoo in Strawberry scent, Juniper, etc) the proceeds all go to the State. Salary caps top off at $500,000. This means that any leftover capital gets poured into the State. But since everyone gets paid by the State, it doesn't really matter.
Military is mostly conscripted, but elite troops have extensive military training. Most people employed by the State are in security and policing. The rest are in other fields....(ala, the "lemonade" business ).

I consider Centralis to be a society very oriented towards specialization and doing things by co-operation; people tend to grow up working in networks, and as such become very good at it, but they tend not to do so well on their own.
(People in some jobs have to be good at it, and they learn to be, but they're the exceptions, not the rule)
The main military implication of this is that the Centralis military can be frighteningly efficient when fully co-ordinated - which, when the enemy doesn't go to great lengths to prevent it, is most of the time - but units tend not to do so well when cut off one another, and individual soldiers even less so. Special ops troops are better off in this regard, but even then, they don't work as well alone as someone from elsewhere might.
As for equipment, training, and so on - as you migh expect, given the above, communications, satellite imaging and recon, and other such technologies tend to be very sophisticated, to the point where the military largely relies on them. Weapons tend to be what you would expect from an early 21st century nation (perhaps a couple of years more advanced than the present day), while training is extensive but specialized; tank drivers are very good at diving tanks, but horrible at being infantry, etc. There is a certain amount of redundancy (everyone in a unit has some training in what everyone else does, although only very basic stuff), but outside the unit level, nobody is very experienced at doing stuff outside their role.
