As many of you may already know, George Lucas is releasing the original Star Wars trilogy on DVD in late September, which IIRC is the first time he has done so. However, there have been rumors floating around, perhaps somewhat substantiated, that Lucas will be altering the original trilogy to better 'fit' with the abominable prequels.
One rumored change would occur in The Empire Strikes Back, when the Emperor is speaking to Darth Vader:
A second change, and perhaps far worse, would take place in Return of the Jedi. Of a similar nature, the change would entail altering the scene with Anakin Skywalker, Yoda and Kenobi, with this:

One must hope that these are merely rumors, that George Lucas would have the intelligence not to do this.
Please let this just be a crazy internet rumor.

at least with the second one, the hope can be that it was a photo-shop job.
And the first pic I really don't care if he fixes it, as there already was no emperor continuity between ESB and RotJ.

I heard one rumor that they were going to do a pre-death star (as in pre by minutes) alderaan with Bail Organa (or was it Ugueth Urbina???) and Jar Jar....
