Well done Kitschum. Well done Greece, thoroughly deserved. Portugal were poor, lost their "bottle" in the final third.

Thanks again Paul for running a fun competition. Certainly better than a lot of the games we watched!

That's not true, I did! It's in the first tread. Paul must've missed it because it was in a single post apart from the rest of my predictions.

Paul should get some kind of benefit from the site for managing all these prediction threads so well.

I say make him a Poly Plus "inmate" or something.

I've edited my post with the final results to include Kitschum's points for Baros and CyberShy's points for Van Nistelrooij. I must have overlooked those two posts. Let me know if I missed any other predictions.

I was about to predict a 0-1 for Greece, but I changed to 0-0 and predicted Greece would win in the extra time.

Congrats to Greece!

The victory of Greece makes Russia's performance look not so disastrous after all. It's an honor to be the only team to have defeated the new European champion.

It looks like Greece couldn't stand Turkey's success at the last WC. They needed a revenge!

For Greece winning the cup the odds in the international gambling houses were 100 to 1, which is what makes the victory even more special.
Although for someone actually watching football he could see that a team which has 18 straight wins (IIRC) before the cup begun has some chances.

Although noone could think we would get a draw with spain and beat Chechia, France and Portugal twice. If anything, this thread's predictions can attest to that as well

Erm, we trounced you 4-0 just weeks before the tournament. And it could just as easily have been seven or eight to nill had we not played so poorly...
