Okay, I'll bite

Here's what might be a possible lineup at WC06 (current age of players listed in brackets -- though I might be off by a year for one or two of them). All of these players already have international experience at at least CL level, most even for the national team. Already today this lineup could do pretty well on an international level, and most of these players are still developing and will only get better with time. Plus, there's no reason slightly older players like Van Nistelrooij, Seedorf, Van Der Sar, Zenden and Kluivert can't still play at WC06.

And I'm not even mentioning other young talents that are yet to prove themselves but look likely to breakthrough in the next few years, such as Van Persie, Huntelaar, De Ridder, Collins John, Stefano Seedorf, Sprockel, Bosschaart, Klompe, Kruiswijk, Zomer, Stekelenburg, etc.

In short, we're not going anywhere but up

v/d meijde : mediocre so far, he ahs to improve a lot.
v/d Vaart : great talent, not certain he'll break trough

That's the case for most of your new players, and this time there's no AJAX that can keep them together to give them time to grow.
Robben has gone to Chelsea too soon IMO, he should have waited at least another year.
He shouldn't have gone to Chelsea in the first place, there aren't going to give him any time to develop, - unlike ManUs Ronaldo - they will expect a top notch performance from him, week in.. week out.

You'd do good, starting with a line up as this - maybe keeping Van Nistelrooy - and do away with the others.
