RESTRICTIONS/MODIFICATIONS:
1. A player may insert stockpile energy into the build queue after the production of a
military unit.
2. No interceptors on auto
3. A player can not use a former to accumulate teraforming while the former is in
transit.
4. A player may not restart a turn without good reason. The player should specify the
reason in the game thread if he was not able to avoid reloading the turn. (Obviously,
if a player has suffered some sort of crash during a turn, such a reload is
unavoidable)
5. If a player performs a probe team action other than to infiltrate against another
player with whom (s)he is in a truce, treaty or pact, they must inform the probed
player what it was they did and what they stole/sabotaged. They must also choose the
'declare vendetta/cancel pact' option when they perform the action.
6. A player is not permitted to make more than one social engineering change per line,
per turn. For instance, one is not permitted to start the turn in wealth, switch to
power mid-turn for the extra disbanded minerals, and then switch back to wealth that
same turn, getting the refund.
7. A player is not permitted to use the 'demand withdrawal' feature against another
player, leaving the AI the decision of whether to withdraw or not.
8. A player may not accept a bribe from another player's AI during council sessions.
9. A player may not perform multiple airdrops in a single turn with the same unit using
the right-click menu.
10. A player may not use the F4 screen when infiltrated to change an opponent's workers
to specialists.
11. If a player declares vendetta upon another player, either directly or indirectly,
they must not accept a pending diplomatic agreement between the two factions in the
same turn.
12. A player may not upgrade a particular type of unit using the design workshop, and
then attack with that unit in the same turn.
13. A player may not make air drops using the right click "air drop to" function, when
it is not possible to do so with the "i" button, ie. after already having moved or
made a drop.
14. A player can not exploit the demon boil bug by setting patrolling waypoints for a
mindworm.
15. A player cannot use colony pod to breach the base population limit without
appropriate facility being built.
16. A player can not set the home base (Control-h) for a unit to be the base of another
faction when the diplomatic stance is pact so that the unit will require no support
from either faction.
17. A player can not reverse engineer rover chassis from probe team.
18. Use common sense and you'll know the other bugs that shouldn't be allowed.

If life's standing still and your soul's confused

Magi Enigma surveyed the huge plateau the landing ships had secured. He had offered paradise and enlightenment to many of the soldiers and they had wisely accepted. Unfortunately he had not managed to convince as many citizens, but those foolish enough to reject his offer would have difficulty surviving the harsh new world.
It was he that found the abandoned ruins of a once great civilisation, a civilisation so great that after their inexplicable disappearance their structures and machines were still around thousands of years later. This was the perfect place to build a new empire that would rise out of the ashes of the old and even eclipse the glory that lay before him.
"The logic is quite simple", Magi Enigma announced to his fellow professors that stood behind him. "In our search for truth we must be prepared to step on toes and weaker factions will fall to our dominance. Those that have abandoned our cause do not deserve our sympathy. It is they who chose to revert back to savages because of simple disagreements."
Magi Enigma turned to face the combined forces of the Nexus. He could see the pride and the confidence that filled those who followed him.
"I bring a new era", Magi Enigma shouted. "This world belongs to us!"
The men and women cheered loudly and Enigma was pleased.
"Magi", the military minister bowed his head slightly in respect. "Sensors indicate that other factions have placed landing parties to take this continent from us."
Magi Enigma frowned at this news. "They wouldn't dare", he muttered to himself. "Send out the army and the machines, let them see the might that we posses and they will think twice of crossing us."
~~~~~~~~
This is alpha team we have landed on the Nexus mainland, transmitting collected survey data, what are our orders.
Establish a base, but ensure radio silence, we don't know what kind of technology Enigma has discovered in the ruins. Assert the military potential of the enemy and take any opportunities that arise.
Roger that, this is alpha team out.
Darsnan leaned back in his chair. The report was very interesting there were numerous defensive structures in place, utilising technology that they wouldn't have for years, terrain made invasion difficult too. While it made Enigma very secure it also meant he was a leashed bear. Darsnan wondered how long it would take Enigma to chew through the rope, things would get deadly once he did.
Darsnan reviewed the landing data again. Enigma also had guerrilla forces on the main contient, he was certain of that. However these forces were small and as long as the others kept up a reasonable defence for all their bases, Enigma would not get a foothold on the main continent.
I decided to accelerate the play for two reasons. Because there's so many players the game can really drag out if it's not accelerated.
The other reason is because accelerated starts mean early game decisions have less of a impact, hence development is a little more predictable. This means I don't have to take into account player skill as much in my scenerio design.
Well I set co-op victory on. That still means 3 other players are out of the loop. If there was one less player I probably wouldn't have turned co-op on. The way I set things up I'm hoping everyone will have a 1/3 chance of victory (including you Enigma).
Pbbt.
It's all about the Allied Victory, now.
I expect we'll all be squabbling about who our allies will be,
save for me - I can already see 3 enemies and 1 wildcard. >_>
First look at your turn and assert the situation before you start making predictions.
You're waiting for Lord Raptor to finish the Hive turn.
* Enigma_Nova defines Turn such that there are 7 turns in a mission year
I didn't mean one of my turns, Chaunk. If I had an excuse to refer to myself then I would have used it.
Nah Honghu's only advantage is she's got shard weapons already proto-typed. Although how Enigma knew that before getting the turn beats me.
Enigma, not sure if you have or haven't done this. Try emailing Lord Raptor in case he doesn't check forums as regularly as his mail.
