I'm another social drinker (except this week, during which I'm on medication - against coughing of all things - which supposedly combines very badly with alcohol. It does slow my reactions to a perceptible degree, so I'm in no mood to experiment).
I do drink alot of coffee. I've never touched any illegal drug, and have a deep aversion to tobacco; I've never tried it in any form, but I'm sensitive to smoke. Sometimes have to leave places because of too much smoke in the air.

Space, you're only 17?
At 17 years old, I was a virgin, I haven't drank alcohol except for occasional sips of wine at family events and at the church (blood of the Christ, that kind of thing), and I haven't done anything. The most addictive thing would be caffenine.
Now, fast forward 10 years later... I'm definitely not a virgin, I've drank alcohol until I blacked out, toked my brains out, tossed acid, rolled on 'E', snorted special K, did crack, tripped on 'shrooms. Heck, I even sold greenies for a short time and acted as a middleman for even longer period of time.
Most of those were during my college years and ever since I graduated I pretty much have a glass of red wine with my dinner and there's occasional night out with friends.
If you've not tried anything by the end of your college years, that's something to be proud of.
Bottom line, it's your decision. You don't want to do it, don't do it. No matter what your peers may say. If you do decide to go for it, go in with your eyes open. Be aware of any possible consquences of your actions. That's my only advice.

quote: Fair enough. Still its pretty strong stuff and I wouldn't want to do it in blunts, though I really need to buy a proper bong (been using bottles lately, not really good enough).
|
what? no bong? thats crucial
quote: The white glazed weed is going to be amazing! How do you smoke yours? |
we have this amazing bong.it changes color as you take more rips (blue, orange, green, yellow etc) it holds water in the bottom part, and ice in the long cylindrical part, with a carb. this is probably the best way, although vap works too, since its pure thc and theres so much on the white glazed. straight outta the pipe is prolly good too, but you dont like that.
id say, first time try in a bong (get one now,) then try vap, then try gravity bong. that'll knock you out.

oohhh man. the gravity bong is the strongest hit ever.
take a plastic two liter coke bottle (or pepsi or fanta, do they have two liter coke bottles in england?) empty it, and saw off the bottom 1/3 (opposite of the part where you drink it from)
now take a clean trashcan, one of those plastic personal ones you might have in a dorm room, and fill it with water (probably like 4/5 or so)
take the cap off of the empty cut 2 liter plastic bottle and put it in the water, with the cut part going in first, so that the water goes inside the plastic and fills up the bottle. hold it so that it doesnt get totally submerged.
now fashion a funnel thingy to put in the top where the cap was (i forget what its called, but you can take it from your bong and use the same one, its where u put the buddha.) you can also make one out of aluminum foil, although its harder.
for the aluminum foil one, take a piece of foil and put it over the part where the cap used to be, and poke small holes in it with the tip of a pencil. stretch it tight, and make the holes very small, and then relax it and make like a basket to put the buddha in.
anyways, once you've got that thing made, put it in the part where the cap used to be, put some weed in it, and light it.
as it burns, slowly pull the bottle out of the water. you can see the milking and smoke accumulating in the space between the water and the top of the bottle. when a sufficient area is filled (enough for say one hit by one person) take the top off.
push the bottle back into the water slowly, and let the smoke get pushed down your throat. when you've gone halfway, do the reverse, pull the bottle back out, and the smoke wil get pulled out of your lungs/throat. then reverse directions again and cash it.
make sure your lips get a tight seal over the top as to not waste any.
prepare to get blazed to a haze. one hit will get you high. two hits will smoke yourself silly.

Be your own man Space. Don't worry about what others are telling you to do or not do, just do what you feel is right and/or best for you.
I've never used illegal drugs, smoked, or drank alcohol either. Have no desire to do so. I'm 28, been around a lot of alcohol and drugs, so it's possible to do.
-----------------
Alcohol affects the neurotransmitters in the brain and nervous system. It interferes with the levels of some of the chemicals (Dopamine, Seratonin) with long term use, and short term inhibits/enhances the receptors for other chemicals used in the process (glutamate, gamma-aminobutyric acid).
Alcohol is a depressant. It slows down interactions for the most part.
-------------
Alcohol in the bloodstream thins your blood, making clots less likely. Much like asprin will. There are antioxidents in Red Wine also present in the grapes (and many other foods).
There are studies which show the benefits of small doses of alcohol, and those which refute it. Heavy drinking is never good for a person physically.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/377381.stm
quote: "We didn't find any benefit or any harm in low-level regular drinking," he told BBC News Online.
"What we did find was that people who were drinking most had more than twice the mortality from stroke, which is not an inconsiderable effect."
He said the findings tied in with international studies that found that men in Finland who regularly drank enough to suffer a hangover and men in Russia who went binge-drinking had higher death rates.
"The bottom line is that binge drinking is not good for one." |

I don't support underage drinking
and I didn't drink until I was 22 (almost a year ago now)
drinking hasn't really added much to my life, but I do it fairly often
