The tile requirement has been met and then some!

(Actually, when are we doing this thing? Can we "officially" start now?)

Tiles are handed out auctioned, and not "first come first serve" right? I'll make my pick in a minute

I bid on the tile 3 of Washington. Uh, how much? Is there a precedent for this thing?

Red= tile dependent of Feudality
Blue= tile dependent of Serf's Up
Green= tile dependent of Washington DC

IIUC, in the first auction, tiles are attributed for free, one tile per player. The priorities come from when players subscribed to the DG

I'll be in vacation for the next ten days, and being a mere #18, I'll give my 18 second choices, in case someone with higher priority takes my first choice.

My priorities are (R=Red, B=Blue, G=Green)
B3 > B10 > B4 > B6 > R5 > R6 > R7 > R8 > R16 > R17 > R4 > R2 > R14 > R3 > G4 > G6 > G7 > G1

Thanks for giving me whatever higher priority tile that hasn't been taken by sombody in the 17th first ranks

A nice tile Spiffor, a floodplain. But is there also some difference in value of the tiles. Or do you need some basic food production before you can pick shield producing tiles?

Hmm I am number 12..so i gotta wait a while. Only going away saturday so I will let higher ranked persons pick first. I assume there is a time limit, I mean those tiles won't be for free forever?
Could be something like a week, or maybe a few days. After that no more free tiles; and the real bidding can begin
What do you guys think about that?

AFAIK, you can claim whatever tile you want, and it will be yours if nobody higher than you takes it.

I want the agrarian ones because I prefer the idea of being an argarian landlors, but that's just my opinion

Question: When the culture of the Capital expands to 3, will the tiles inside it's cultural rating but outside all city radii be bidable?

(Such as the poluted Volcano NW fresh water lake which will probably NEVER be inside any city radii)

No, to be eligible for ownership the tile must be within one of our cities' radii AND be within our cultural domain.

I agree with Aeson... an auction seems to be the most fair way to do this, as opposed to this method. We did do an auction in the $Minigame during SPDG #1, as opposed to handing out tiles in order of signups.

I have always agreed with Aeson, Jonny, mrmitchell, and LizTonic's opinion on this issue. However it was a compromise we agreed to in order to get a Feudal DemoGame. The main issue being that everyone choosing a tile was faster and simpler than an auction.

Ok, Nevermind, GF, I have been reinstated. it's all good. As I am # 17 on the list, it might be awhile before I get to do anything here...

Also I would say take Toraradical off this list as he cannot visit this site for technological reasons.

Also, an auction has been ssuggested, although I am not sure how we would be able to do an action for this first round of biddings as each of us are indeed starting out with nothing, right???? Am I understanding the basis of the auction corectly???

By the looks of it, food is not in short supply, but only in certain tiles, but you can get a sizeable amount of it with just a single tile. Shields are short at the moment, but there is untapped potential everywhere. Trade is also present in abundance, but only clustering those river tiles.
