Interview on Thursday ! Avatar Enlargement: We've got the solution

Here's the role.

quote:
The post involves the development and application of analytical techniques to achieve forecast accuracy. The management of the demand forecast database ensuring all new customer and industry specific data is input and maintained. The administration and data preparation leading to the production of the demand forecast.

Sounds..interesting!! Just wondering if it seems a bit boring though? Still it's £16.5k which isn't bad for an entry role.

There's also a mathematical test, which I'm looking forward to given my last score for the last interview I went for. Something I should be able to do well in.

And a bit of stuff about the firm blah blah.
quote:
Gaz de France ESS has grown to become one of the leading energy suppliers in the UK. The unique strength and expertise in both gas and electricity has resulted in the company being able to provide an unrivalled service to business customers. They already have an extensive customer base with plans to extend their service to an increasing number of businesses across the UK.

Avatar Enlargement: We've got the solution

My progress has been somewhat dicey.

On Friday I had an interview very near where I grew up, which was nice, paying £17,000, but the interview was so short I am not at all confident. Monday I had another interview which did seem to go really well, but for less than £15,000 when it includes some work on Saturdays and Sundays at no extra I had to tell the guy who got me the interview not to accept it if offered. I could earn that much at Tesco.

I got another interview offer in the post today, but I'm really apprehensive about even taking the interview- when they said, "south coast", I was expecting Portsmouth; instead, it's Poole, which is really too far to travel. What to do, what to do...

On £15000 exactly, that would come to £11857 after taxation at current rates...

Personal allowance is £4745...10% on the next £2020...22% on the next £28000...therefore the total taxable amount is £202 and 22% of £15000-£2020-£4745 which is 22% of £8235 which is £1811.70. Therefore the total income tax bill is £2013.70.

For national insurance, 11% of everything over £91.01 per week. Now £15000 divided by 52, subtract £91.01 and 11% of that. For the year multiply back by 52 and voila for your national insurance bill (NI for the year: £1129.42.

Subtract both from the £15000 and you are left with £11856.88...check it yourself

I wonder if the government's tax website has a tax calculator on it. Probably not, since it would make too much sense.

PA, how much money will you have left over after basics and amenities? I only ask because I'm planning to move out and am thinking of the finances, as well as the essential spare cash.

Suffering from ads?

"PA, how much money will you have left over after basics and amenities?"

£16500. £12500ish post tax.

£1000 council tax, £100 a week rent, £30 a week food..(being optimistic!) £10 a week utilities. = £8200ish...

So about £80 a week for messing about with.

Ah! But obviously your earning will only increase with time. I'd put utilities a little higher personally, always best to assume the worse when your planning. If you don't drive (I don't) that will help.
