I Think it was Sava who questioned that TAX BREAKS STIMULATE THE ECONOMY. I guess sky = red
Maybe you should look at this year's JOB GROWTH. Oh no wait! You are gonna quote some gibberish about how we have lost more jobs now than ever before in the history of the galaxy. BUT you would be FORGETTING SEPTEMBER 11th.
And No Good American, repeat No Good American, forgets September the 11th. Maybe you are not an American, which would mean you should not try to act like one.
Lonestar, I am 100% percent behind the military. But think about it. As for the older veterans, they are not in battle! They are not top of list of national concerns, unfortunately, they cannot be. They COULD write a book and make money in this way, as a suggestion. But if they cannot, and cannot afford heath costs, they should know that if they were paid, THEIR CHILDREN would have to pay for it later. I thought you liberals were for euthanasia? And now the elderly are your concern at the expense of future generations? Don't burn too many waffles with all those flip-floppers.
As for the troops in Iraq who want money, they volunteered. FOR AMERICA. Don't you liberals say they did it for $$$. Ridiculous.
And you want a FOX link? My internet is giving me problems (and I must get away from computer, it is starting to "spark" - go dells, right asher ) but if you want a link, go to their website www.foxnews.com and read about the war in Iraq. They are bound to tell you somewhere that DEMOCRATS are COMPLAINING about the DEFECIT, and that's all you need to know for this debate.
AND to those who think I am a communist - I do not read Marx and Lenin, I would not understand Marx and Lenin, I can barely stand to read for more than twenty minutes at a time, I am not a communist, maybe you are?

Oerdin, this is the first Iraq thread I've been able to open in a month. I knew about the general facts on the stop-loss, but not how bad it's gotten. Stick in there.
Wiglaf, I've never dealt with one of your posts, but I will make at attempt here. First, supply-side economics. If you don't mention the Laffer curve, then you are demonstating at best intellectual sloth, and at most obfuscation to hide your disonesty. By the way, when you include payroll taxes your small business owner pays substantially more than the wealthy, when my wife was a contractor in mental health her tax rate was 52% - 28% marraige penalty (her income was on top of mine) 15.5% SS, 6% state, 2.5% local. Stop whining until you know your facts.
The troops and their families have made a compact, a poor one IMHO, that our country will care of those who are willing to put them at risk for their country. At least Wiglaf is consistant with the current Bush-DeLay policy (I don't know Frist's policies on this YET). Deploy cheaper and inferior hardware (Stryker), get of of those pesky expensive items in the TOE (SP artillery), and keep telling everybody there will be fewer casualties becuase by God you are one of those Democrats if you challenge us. It's unpatriotic to challenge our veteran's affairs and the current plans to further cut those benefits (I wish I had one of those vomiting smiley faces).
Well, little boy, I wanted McCain and if you had bothered to watch my posts from a month ago I just buried my sister's husband, shot by a sniper outside his Abrams because of inadequate parts forcing him to check his running gear. Before you run you mouth about veterans benefits, go to a VA hospital and meet the men disfigured by OED's or missing limbs, and then maybe I will have a little respect. Otherwise, STFU and pay attention to some people like Oerdin, who is out there and making those risks you so cavalierly talk about from your easy chair.
Oerdin, Brian Drew Smith was shot on July 2nd, and was with the 1-34th armored. Here is the obituary.http://www.ntxe-news.com/artman/publish/printer_17750.shtml They did get to my sister the same day. If you can find a back-issue of the Iraqi Stars & Stripes with this his parents and my sister would appreciate it.

Indeed. This morning, when I was brushing my teeth, I didn't know whether to use Colgate or Crest toothpaste, so I decided to remember September 11. That just got me really deprssed, and all I've done today was sit and watch TV.
The other day, I was talking politics with my neighbor, and he said Bush might not be the best man for defense policy. I remembered how that evil Terrorist Osama bin Wiglaf attacked our nation, and I got angry, so he's got a black eye. It's his fault for being a bad American.
By the way, J Edgar Hoover has gotten back to me and told me your arrest will be as quick and painless as possible. You should be glad you got off so easy for such a crime like tainting the good GOP name with your Communist-Terrorist propoganda. After I got his phone call, I remembered September 11 just like a good Patriot, and I got really mad at your fellow Communists in the FBI who are certainly trying to prevent your well-deserved prosecution. I would've asked Edgar how the process of removing the Reds was going, but I was too busy getting enraged about how awful September 11 was.
I will vote Republican in every election hereforth, because I must not forget the tragic events of September 11. Plus, Bush really reminds me of September 11, being the guy who let it happen and all. But that isn't important, because it was September 11! You damn terrorist

Goes to show what a good Patriot you are. J. Edgar Hoover has been dead for 32 years.

Where did I suggest J. Edgar Hoover was alive?
And as for the Veterans. I've worked at a Veteran's Hospital for a summer or two -thankless, grueling work-, I know that they have it tough, but should we really have to make our kids pay for them*, or sacrifice a war on terror?
No, quite not. It is unfortunate but there is NO alternative.
*No I don't have kids. Don't put any more words into my mouth, damn sympathizers, I swear to God I am going insane BECAUSE of your lies.
