Round 7: It’s always the quiet ones…

This round promised to be the most peaceful yet, with Jamski gone, Skanky incommunicado, and the Alliance resting a while before the next conquest… however, this was not to last, as Overlord joncha, who had previously been content to sit within his own borders and build, launched a massive, do-or-die strike against the domains of Overlord Kuciwalker, who was still recovering from Skanky’s prior seizure of his homeland. As the invading ships entered his systems, Kuciwalker rapidly powered up his ships and headed out to engage them; the ensuing battle would prove one of the most drawn-out in galactic history.

Despite it’s length, however, the battle was a crushing victory for joncha, whose superior firepower and tactical adaptation allowed him to destroy Kuciwalker’s fleet without ever taking a hit. The first three rounds, unusually, saw a perfect matching of OOBs, with firepower alone determining the victor of each exchange; in the last three rounds, however, the defending fleet was comprehensively outmanoeuvred, and utterly crushed by swarms of fighters and torpedoes. When the dust settled, joncha now held sway over all of Kuciwalker’s 15 bases; the Alliance had lost a member, and the galaxy had a new superpower.

Meanwhile, as the galactic power balance was shifting drastically, all other Overlords were building, either behind shields or simply trusting to their fleets to protect them.

But it seems I was lucky, no-one came after me.

Btw, is Spaceds' ship list still correct with Kuci's ships gone?
Has the Alliance (-1) lost a Dreadnaught when bumping on Whoha's shield or not?
And lastly, what ships need repair?

1) I've corrected the table to allow for your redistribution of ships.
2) The Alliance merely suffered damage from hitting Whoha's shield; Kuci got the damaged readnaught, which he repaired shortly before being destroyed.
3) None of your ships need repair at present.

Actually, your BPs are correct for having constructed a base, I just forgot to put it on the table. Sorry about that.

Continuing the main trend for this game, it was Skanky’s turn to be ganged up on and overrun, as both Geomodder and Whoha sent their fleets against him. As it turned out, Geo reached him first, and met Skanky’s six Titans and ten Frigates in high orbit over his provisional capital world.

Skanky’s ships fought valiantly to preserve what remained of their empire, but in the end, there were simply too many of Geomodder’s ship, and the ancient House Burns was extinguished without causing a single enemy casualty.

Whoha’s ships arrived shortly afterwards, but, finding the area under occupation by another Overlord, and having no orders to press the attack, they withdrew home is disappointment.

Meanwhile, Spaced Cowboy decided to grab the defenceless systems of the infamous House of Ljcvetko, dispatching a small fleet to occupy the area. Though they had gone in fully expecting to find his bases already captured, they were completely undefended, and the area was conquered without bloodshed. Geomodder and Spaced then proceeded to share the bases evenly amongst themselves.

Sorry GT, but we are on two different time zones a world apart. Rarely are we on at the same time, since we seem to keep "regular" hours....unlike some skanks that I know.
