Yep, you're right. I hate NBC's coverage of the Olympics. Yeah, it's nice to see some Americans winning gold, but can we please, once in a while, get to focus on some of the OTHER athletes in Athens? *sigh* Apparently not.

exactly the opposite here... the IBA shows other athletes all the time. Actually at one time, in the gymnastics finals, the commentators were describing our athlete's performance, while the camera was showing Paul hamm, IIRC.

I think that the TV should cover the most important events, no matter who participates.

We have the same problem with France2, it's realy a plague.

Well, the easy solution is to pump down the volume (or cut it already). You'll still only see your athletes, but at least you'll avoid the flag waving comments.

Hell, not a single medal ceremony with Russian winners shown on NBC. My thirst for hearing the Russian anthem in such circumstances remains unsatisfied. They only play the American and now Israeli anthems. By the way, I was rather surprised to find out that the opening part of the Israeli anthem closely resembles "An Old French Song" by Tchaikovsky.

Watching the men's triathlon now. It's hilarious, as you can totally tell who the European competitors are; they're the only homos wearing two piece suits...

This ****ing anti-American sh1t is getting out of hand. Greek newspapers saying because their dumbass runner failed a drug test and got into a motorcycle accident, so he has to withdraw from the games.

The cause? An American conspiracy...

It's starting to become a self parody.

I don't think the booing Greeks thought that deep, but you could look at it like this: The Greek failed to take a doping test and was banned. Numerous American altletes are doped up to their ears, still protected from being busted by their association. Then they won triple medals. I'm not saying that these individuals were doped, but the problem is that we will never know.

Yes, our 4th gold! This could end up as our best Olympics since Stockholm 1912. Still, so many of our atletes came in 4th place, that I lost count - swimmers, wrestlers, table tennis, womens football. It must be some kind of inofficial #4 record.

We still have some slight chances in horse jumping and womens long jump, but I doubt any of them will do better than bronze.
