THE FALLOUT IS STILL COMING. AMERICANS AND EUROPEANS ARE ADVISED TO REMAIN IN THEIR HOUSES AND BREATHE AS LITTLE AS POSSIBLE.
LONDON, NEW YORK CITY, LOS ANGELES, CHICAGO, LAS VEGAS, AND DALLAS HAVE ALL BEEN HIT. ANY SURVIVORS HEARING THIS BROADCAST ARE TO REPORT TO THE NEAREST RED CROSS EMERGENCY SHELTER FOR CHEMICAL SHOWERS.
ALL CITIZENS IN THE STATE OF NEVADA ARE URGED TO BE READY TO EVACUATE AT A MOMENT'S NOTICE.

The Federal Government releases and starts up Emergency Plan X. All citizens are required to wear gas masks being passed out around the country. Those in Texas, California, and the Northeast are being shipped to undisclosed locations. In theory, anyways. In reality, the whole nation is a big frigging mess.
REPEAT: STAY IN SAFE ROOMS UNTIL FALLOUT ENDS. OVER.
News from across the pond: The British government disintegrates. British Army units have militarily enforced law in some cities in the North, but no command exists above them.
Iraq as a whole collapses into anarchy. As American troops rush to escape the country by plane or ship, the Iranian army marches in from the east. Kurds, Shi'ites, Sunnis, they're all just killing each other. Syrian chemical sprays wipe out numerous villages along both sides of the border, but, XJ15 doesn't spread in Syria.
The Union of Concerned Researchers has called a last-ditch effort to the nations of the world to set down their arms and pitch all funding possible into finding a cure for XJ15.
Iceland, Cuba, and Haiti and the Dominican Republic have sealed off their islands completely, with army troops shooting anyone who tries to enter (no one, yet).
A Hurricane forms in the Atlantic in the middle of Spring. What?
Saudi Arabian economy starts to falter as huge reserves of oil build up.
American and South Korean soldiers comb NK for any location at which Kim Jong-Il's bunker might have been located.
BREAKING NEWS
The first intercontinental missiles have landed in St. Petersburg and Moscow. Both cities have been obliterated from the face of the earth. More nukes are expected to fall across Russia, and conventional troops in Central Asia have crossed the border to attempt to seize known nuke stores.
All South American and most African countries plus India form an alliance of peace and mutual self-defense come the time when chaos spreads to them. Kashmir trades hands between Pakistan, India, and China until no one cares any more.

Breaking News
The nuclear exchange between the United States and the Soviet Union has ended.
On the Western side, London, New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Dallas, St. Louis, and an unnamed military base in Nevada have been obliterated. The estimated immediate death toll is around ten million, with many more dozens of millions of people exposed to fallout and other blast effects.
In Russia, St. Petersburg, Moscow, Vladivostok, and a couple other cities; I don't know that much Russian geography have been hit. Reports from there are still coming in, but are considerably less than those in the United States.
In both nations, there is regional loss of communications, and certain cities that are not yet back under national or any control. Lost in the exchange include several Congressmen, the governors of California and Texas, and Secretary of the Treasury Paul Goodenrich. Russian leadership losses probably total much higher due to the fate of Moscow.
If you are a citizen in the affected areas around blast sites, stay inside and do not travel. All hospitals in the nation are being used for nuke emergencies only. Chemical shower stations have been set up in many suburbs. Again, do not travel. All roads must be cleared for emergency personnel to reach victims.
Do not clean up destroyed areas. Government safe teams will clean and remove contamination from hit cities. Do not stir up large amounts of debris, and while outside or in cities marked by XJ15 indication "Code Green" wear your issued gas mask.

XJ15 Crisis
Many nations have been blackened. Either they are all dead or in such a great state of anarchy that they will be soon.
Retailers in the United States have sold and marked up prices on "survival kits," banking off the spreading darkness.
Cleanup continues in blasted areas. XJ15 contamination is at Code Red level around fallout zones.
A tremendous blast is reported in North Korea.
Stock up on food and other necessities. Power and water usage restrictions are in effect for most of the continental United States and Europe. International travel has been banned in South America.
The US begins to ferry government leaders to "undisclosed locations."
American troops have taken a stockpile of nuclear weapons in southern Russia, but find most of them to be in considerable decay anyways.

Troops from Burkina Faso march on Moscow and win the game. All the dead people rise back up out of their graves and eat the radiated Earth. Life returns to normal.
