I have just forwarded the morgan 2134 turn, and presend is attached below.
- All movements as on above screenie, only former near SH already used its turn, so it in fact did not have a turn to move to another tile. Colony pod was not succesful, and stopped at the end of road - only two tiles forward then.
- All fungus attempts succesful
- As requested former between EM and SH aids farm efort west from EM. Next turn farm will be completed
Oh, I would forgot. There is something for all of us to cheer up:
Our might is recognised as Pathetic... we need these new bases.

We will have to use some strategy to win. I wouldn't worry too much though. We can still pop boom, and this is what I would think of. We can have more spaced bases. If we use all continent, let us expand to the sea. Victory will be in details and all those smart small moves as for probe team actions, allies, trade, etc.
For pop boom we need children creshes. Let's make it after we are done with our present B-line.

Some thoghts:
- Northern probe team will allow for moving colony pod to the tile north. I would move scout unit there too for its security. Weak units like probe team and colony pod only might trigger hive for attack - i have seen such things in single player.
- regarding situation above, maybe move rover prior to leaving monolith tile to that monolith tile? that might be better or not?
- where to establish the base? basesite1? or checkpoint isthmus? I would go for basesite1 - faster. and then just go as fast as possible to the site east from "isthmus" - good spot anyway. We can enter basesite1 in two turns using probe team again - it moves north and then south east to reenter hive synth control zone on basesite1
- to pop a unity pod on the east - the closes is RPS base. Make Network node there for possible mineral supply.
- another thoght - maybe use the rover to kill all those aliens (2 of them now) between us and hive? then it moves to the monolith and then to probe team tile north next turn >>> in that case scout stays in monolith - we need blockade for that hive unit. Rover then escorts colony pod to the new base, and when the base builds scout (we need it) rover goes to make passage for probe team to the hive

I guess, they have quite a problem what to do. As if they are not sure how to give as little as possible. Or maybe they really do not have anything. I have to study technology intelligence a bit more. One of the possibilities is that they are not expecting the Ind Auto soon. But maybe they have Progenitor Psych??? For us that might be usefull, though maybe not as good as Doc: Flex IMHO

From what I deduced, if they have no other contacts they really may have less techs than we:
Cent Eco. 2101
Inf Net. 2107
Pla Net 2116
Ind Base 2124
Ind Eco 2131
and now Ind Auto 213...
Do they have Doc Flex? Quite possible they don't, but I can be wrong.

We need to say to the Gaians whether or not the Tech Treaty is signed. FlameFlash still had a question, is that answered to your satisfaction, FF?
If accepted, I propose to let the Gaians start researching Doc:Mob, we can take over for Doc:Flex when we receive it and (finally) go in the open seas with probe foils or transports loaded with probe teams.
It becomes obvious that we're lagging behind in the power graph. I propose to save 40 ec's and change our economic setting to increase either popgrowth/production or our economy.
Are we willing to exchange worldmaps with the Gaians? They have probably a whole lot more cartographic data then we do.
O yes, the Gaians have met the Hive according to the Diplo screen. And on Eventis Illu slipped an interest only in the comlinks for PK's/Uni/Morgans. Hive and Spartans were not favoured it seems. He also slipped that that the Gaians have only the IndAuto beeline and CentEco, but that is old news, and quite obselete in light of a Tech Treaty.
- I plan to rehome our new rover to Verres' Loft (is now to RPS)
- Forgot to mention in previous post, popped the pod near that FT, a forest appeared out of it. Nice base site thus and a good counter for fungus spreading in that area.
That's about it, I wait with posting the turn untill someone can give me advice about the spore launcher preventing riots and someone 'chatting' with Yang.
Here's the screenshot.

Geo, reply in a minute....

Ok, just checked some stuff:
quote: Question: Does a spore launcher counts as a garrison (meaning prevents drone riots) in a base? |
I have checked in a scenario editor. It appears, that it does count as police. So you can use it for drone riots.
About Kahlua Probing colony pod - presently there is accumulating last nutrient row. It means that if colony pod was completed this turn - it wouldn't decrease population from 2 to 1, but it would stay at 2. Let 2 turns accumulate and in 2138 hurry last minerals in that colony pod.
You may change Kodycryptor worker from forest to monolith. Presently it is 3-2-1, and we lack only 4 nutrients for growth. This way in 2137 we will loose 2 excessive nutrients. If you change this turn to monolith we will have 2-2-2, no nutrient loss and we gain 2EC!
It's nice to see an additional rover and SL.

Actually, the production, from my experience, happens before pop-growth, so if we spend to make it 4 turns to produce the cp and 4 turns to grow to 2 you'll get the warning, "are you sure you want to disband?"
I also posted in the diplo-thread, but I'll mention here: just want to make sure they know that it's just a tech planning treaty as opposed to a tech trade treaty. The last thing I want is to see them wanting to go to war with us because their interpretation was different than yours, Geo. Otherwise, I like it.
Also looks good on the cp on its way to block the Hive synth in our territory. How many defenders are we going to build for Heaven's Gate? (sounds like the perfect time to use that name, after all.)

I think they need Ind Auto fast to avoid researching it. Geo, you mentioned smth like that they need it this turn. If they get IndAuto from us - yes - they switch to Biogen without loosing any accumulated research points.
We got our units. Can we trust them to give Biogen then? It seems like we have no choice.
