Not that I want to single anyone out, but you might all want to notice that gjramsey is now the Pope...though for how long will he remain Pope...that is to be seen (The life expenctancy of Cardinals seems to greatly diminish upon ascending to Pope, must be the rigours of the job )

Do we know if we got the right cardinal? The write-up seems to suggest that we did... I think maybe we should focus on who the back-stabber is. With Ljube as GM, I'd say that probably means Jamski. Unfortunately, he is not playing this game, so I'm stumped.

It's always a good idea to vote for DrSpike, though.

reismark: In games of Mafia I've played in person, the Mafia are a "team" who communally decide who to execute at night, and work together. However, this would complicate things online as it's easier for other Mafia to "out" the other Mafia after they've been killed out of spite or whatever, and thanks to the Internet, that's impossible to detect (while it's rather obvious if a dead person starts shouting out who his compatriots were, and then that person gets kicked from the party for ruining the game).

Anyway, a stab in the back? Come on. That sounds like a classic Machiavellian thing to do, plus, joncha framed poor Cardinal Luther rather clearly! Why would he do that if not to cover for his own misdeeds?

Sadly I've been posting more on the Roman Catholic church than in those succession games.

Now that I have internet access again, I just have to get settled down, and then I can rejoin them.

Well in my case every cloud has a silver lining I guess, as you are not the only one who hasn't been around Succession Games lately, and the slowdown got me bored and checking out the other forums......such as Other Games. I hope you and others do return to Civ 2 General soon though as the forum has been very slow without the SG's.
