	4 Player MP Game - Maq, EPW, Toni, Barley. Enter the AD-FREE zone

Toni & I were talking yesterday and thought it would be good to arrange a 4 player game.

I know we all have limited time but perhaps we could try and fit one in.

To start with I guess we need to see when we are all free and when the game could be? Bear in mind the game may take 20 hours to finish though thre is nothing stopping us playing it out over a month or more.


Personally, im free to play nearly every day between 7pm and 1am GMT. Maybe longer earlier/later at weekends.

Something else if we don't get the team game rolling soon, what about having a mini tourney between us guys, I mean myself, Maq, Barley and EPW. Tell me what you think, my opinion is that we may actually have some fun, four good players battling it off

If we can we should play the 2v2 on either fri, sat, sun each week.

As for a mini tourney, do you mean as a 1v1 format? Or we play several 1v1v1v1 and take points from each game where each player finishes in order? 1st = 3 points, 2nd = 2 points etc.

Well whichever the format of the game, why dont we just set up an ongoing league, games of 2-4 players, with a points system based on position like gameleague again? Rather than a small tourney? Anyone can join and play at any time then.

Because it would be smaller we can be more certain no one is cheating, and besides we can check saves, not like gameleague who didnt care.

We could do tourneys too, maybe for bonus points or something.

Looks like Friday is the best option for starting the 4 player (2 v 2). Is Friday ok for everyone? Shall we say 7pm GMT/BST

As for a gameleague / tourney this is a good idea to.

7pm GMT is 8pm BST, at least until the end of October.

So if we're saying 7pm GMT Friday (which is fine by me), thats 8pm for you and me Barley.

7pm GMT = 11am PST which would be impossible for me. 11:30pm GMT would be the earliest for me on Friday, but I could probably do 7pm GTM Saturday.

I can't play at all this weekand because I'm not going to be home though....

This post is at 10.26 GMT... GMT = Greenwich Meantime and is the same as BST in my book, by 11.30pm Maq I mean by the clock on the wall assuming your in UK.

BST is 1hr in front of GMT from around March to October every year, we're still in BST at least for a couple more weeks.

On my watch your post was at 10:27pm BST, which is 9:27pm GMT.

Ill just take it any time you mention is from the clock on your wall.

I may be on earlier Barley, it looks like it would be me and you as a team, so we can get some practice, formulate some kind of a plan etc?

To save a little time setting up later heres the mod we usually use, or I have the last time I played you all.

As Toni mentioned it might be an idea to play a smaller map to actually finish in one night. If we agree to play with a smaller map you open up const.txt from ...\ctp2_data\default\gamedata and edit the line:

Just wona say onething great game guys, looks that it will be very interesting. This diversity sets makes it perfect for team games. I'm just sad the we will have to wait till next friday to continue our good game. Most important is taht we alll are here then, i know for sure that i will be here, don't wona miss the game for anything.

Really really sorry guys, I fell asleep.

It’s the fist time that’s ever happened to me and I guess I should have said something. I was lying on my bed with my mouse just playing away and it was getting harder and harder to rouse myself for each turn…….then wammo it was 6am and unsurprisingly youd all gone.

I can continue any time and guess the next round will be Friday.

Once again im really sorry…

Oh just so everyone knows, 11.30 is a little late here in UK (obviously) and although not usually a problem im working 50 hours+ weeks at the mo. If we can start any earlier it would be better, if not ill try and make sure ice had plenty of sleep the day before.

If EPW and Toni can play earlier Saturday rather than a late Friday it would be better I think. EPW mentioned 7pm gmt on a Saturday, are you regularly available then EPW? If not we'll just take the Friday.

Likely I can play any day or hour as long as I know enough in advance.

I can play anytime on Friday, Sat or Sunday, i just hope we can have atleast 2 days of playtime next weekend.
