alex the great's wish has been fulfilled and the upkeep costs of his army have sunk noticeably

persian troops have refounded a new city near the ruins of the lost city of "beavers", that was abandonned as part of the delaying strategy in the beginning of the perso-graecan quarrel. after decades of suffering watching the green whores wearing furs, now persian ladies can finally wear them again themselves... as the gods always had intended!

By the way, I have a new computer and a lot of things to install. I don't even have my email client installed yet, but there is no mail on my mail relay either. We are sad to inform the classic world that Greece's brave attempt to change fate has failed.

Once our numerous forces, built over centuries, suffered a setback at the walls of Mooh, our eventual defeat in the hands of the Persian economy was only a matter of time. This time has come.

I would like to congratulate the Persian leader for his victory and to ask forgiveness from the rest of the world for the unbalancing effect of my defeat.

What to do now? I would be happy to let Persia steamroll over Greece, playing the part of a passive AI civilization, but I fear that this would put the game further out of balance. Instead, I propose to divide Greece, which has not yet lost any territory, among Egypt and Rome.

persia offered peace the turn after the greek attacking forces had been fought off but greece was not willing to even consider it. in the words of the noble warrior alexander the great: "we shalt no halt before greece is the largest nation or seizes to exist".

we wish to propose peace again and hope that this time greece accepts.

the condition of peace is: gift us the city of ephesus (you will recieve dyes for free), gift or abandon corinth and allow us to buy the invention and gunpowder techs for a fair price.
in return, persia will withdraw all troops without further damaging the lands and will leave the undefended towns in peace.

we understand that the loss of corinth is the biggest demand, but we presume it can be considered a fair punishment for the loss of the persian town of "beavers" in the beginning of this assault. we do not demand to keep corinth and we will allow greece to rebuild it at the same position. we just expect that the current city improvements and culture are surrendered.

persia also wishes to tell the world that they have no intention in expanding further, nor do our troops have the lusting to enter further into graecan lands.

we also wish to thanks carthage, rome and egypt for keeping out of this war. we are aware that our peace offer probably only means the later defeat of persia when greece has regrouped its troops, but we are willing to take this into account in order to get our marketplaces and libraries built.

the war has cost enough on both, including forced build of the great wall instead of the great library or the pyramids which would have suited our taste much more...
