Kerry was leading the whole time until this weekend, when Bush took the lead.

Now it's tied again.

Kerry on NBC news has said he has up to 10,000 lawyers ready to go. Sounds a bit unreal to me. Personally, I believe both sides are ready to go to court regardless of the outcome.

Kerry 283 Bush 246 at the moment, though msot of the states that moved the other way in this place are still too close to really call. NJ seems to be firmly Kerry again though.

EDIT the pic seems to have disappeared.

Absolutely not. You may see protest, etc. but not Civil War. Mainly because the military would never support it. I feel the emotions involved are no more than those in a heated sport rivalry.

Come Wednesday morning, I'll wake up and run with two friends who are ardent Democrats. Of course, I'll sponsor them for their continued freedom and sign their travel papers. Or, they'll make me wear a dress and protest unfair treatment of gays.

I'd note that the latest Gallup poll has Kerry ahead in Ohio, and the Zogby from yesterday had Bush ahead (probably why it is red there). However, both of those are a fairly large change from the consistent tied game of the 5+ days previous. It is likely that Ohio is still 'tied' and that the polls showing that not the case are just a bit off because of random error issues.

Of course, it is not unreasonable to expect most places that are tied to go to Kerry.

No, because the military would go on the side of the elections; they aren't going to split over this.

Despite what the gun lobby might say, their guns can't be used to effectively resist the military.

Hmm, something like 1300 GMT to 0400 GMT, with informal exit polls done constantly, and the reports on the counting coming in constantly as the night goes on.

It might not be known who one until 24 hours or more after the voting has started. It depends on how it goes.

Something to consider when determining who will win the election is the weather
http://www.weather.com/maps/maptype...day2_large.html

Bad weather tends to favor the Republicans and good weather favors democrats. Mainly because democrats are poorer and usually on foot and get discouraged by bad weather easiler. Also Zogby just did a poll or cell phone users and found Kerry leads Bush by 15%
http://zogby.com/news/ReadNews.dbm?ID=919

Also, it looks like Bush may not the support from evangicals that he was expecting.
http://www.latimes.com/news/politic...-home-headlines

With that and the tendency of undecided voters going to Kerry a little more then Bush, I'd say Kerry's going to win this election. It's still is going to be a very close election though.

If the Washington Redskins loose their last match before the election, the incumbent is always defeated. Vice-versa as well.

Also, the Candidate with the biggest hair tends to win, although that's not as scientific as the Redskins one, as hair size is subjective.

Kerry seems to have the momentum going into the vote - if Bush was safe Kerry should be deadmeat by now.
