Jewelry on men Support Apolyton, buy Call to Power 2

what are your thoughts? What do you wear? I don't wear any jewelry whatsoever. I've always though men wearing jewelry was gay. I don't care what's in style or not, it still looks gay to me. Not that gay is a bad thing now, I just don't want to look like it.

What's the point of guys wearing jewelry? I have actually tried wearing a necklace (or chain as it's sometimes called). I just can't get into them. I don't wear any rings. And I'm not married, so I don't have to. No bracelets, earrings (or other rings) at all.

Class rings, championship rings, and wedding rings are the only jewlrey guys should wear.

And if you are going to wear a class ring, might as well go to the only school whose ring needs to be registered as a weapon in most states:

I wear a gold medium-thin chain that supports a quartz crystal hanging-thingy (like a charm, but larger and not a charm ); it holds philisophical/spiritual symbolism to me (no, it isn't any of that "Power of the Crystal" crap ) much like a cross or Star of David et. al. does for others. I stopped wearing my h.s. class ring a year after graduation. I also wear a somewhat bulky gold ring on my left index finger (the only one it seems to fit on without sliding off or cutting off circulation) bearing a Celtic cross and a genuine emerald at its center. Sort of a tie-in to my heritage.

Personally, I don't think much accidentally stabbing myself with pens, pencils, rusty nails, or other sharp objects ... so I don't particularly understand why anyone gets piercings of any sort. Hell, I don't even like having metal fillings on my teeth much less metal actually puncturing my flesh "permanently" and purposely.

In the theatre, we use tie line See Here to attach lights and cables and to generally keep stuff in place.

It can make a pretty cool looking homemade bracelet. I've also found out how to make rings, and even aerrings out of them! It has a nice homemade look that I like.

I also wear a lock on a chain around my neck. I get many stupid comments, and I've heard every chastity belt joke possible. But I htink its cool looking, and that is "the point" of wearing it.

Loz has a point here. Jewlery doesn't make anyone look that much better. It is kind of a waste for us to throw money into this.

Full PM-box? Change here!

I often got compliments on a ring I used to wear and I usually get compliments from both men and women on a big chain that I wear.

Unfortunatley I gave the ring to some chick.

I think the problem is that most jewelry for guys has been ugly and gaudy in the past. Those big gold nugget rings are ugly and look terrible, especially if you have a big hairy knuckle, it just looks tacky.

Alot of the newer stuff made from pewter or steel or unpolished silver looks understated and masculine.

I find it fascinating how terrified most straight boys are of looking gay. Must be so depressing walking about thinking "is this too gay?"

I like jewelry on men. Accessories are everything honey. I've got three earrings in my left ear, my right eyebrow pierced, normally wear one or two bracelets (the metal chain bracelet being my favourite) and will wear one of two necklaces (either a thing leather strip with a metal insert or a two row Native American style chocker made from bone).

Rings, alas, do not like me.

Lose 30 kilos (of popups)

I wear a simple silver chain around my neck as well as a rather more expensive wrist watch than I need with some gold detail. If that makes me look gay, well, that's not my problem.

I suppse if I got engaged I'd wear my engagement ring (men don't get wedding rings were I'm from), but I can't see myself wearing rings otherwise. And anything requiring piercing is right out as far as I'm concerned.

I only wear a silver chain with a silver ankh, and I'd probably consider wearing a silver or pewter ring or two (including a wedding band when I reach that part of my life) and maybe a watch.

Though I wouldn't wear piercings, bracelets or anklets, since in my opinion those look better on women (so long as the piercings aren't in any obscure places like the tongue). Not that I have anything against men who wear that stuff as it's their choice (hell, some of my friends wear things like that), I just think it looks better on women.

And I don't really fear that the kind of jewelry I wear looks gay.

Tired of ads?

I used to wear a ring or two and a necklace with a little silver cross in primary school. Since then I've hardly worn any jewelry other than my watch. I also have a ring now, but I rarely wear it.

Jewelry can look good, on both men and women, but I don't find it particularly exciting either. It's also very easy to overdo it...

Currently wearing-

Ears- just a single silver hoop today.
Fingers- just my white gold wedding ring. I'm not a big ring-wearer.
Left wrist- a torc in stainless steel.
Neck- a bronze Venus of Willendorf on a silver chain.

I used to have a septum piercing that I wore a gold ring through, but it's long gone.

Help yourself to an AD-FREE life

Jewelry on men doesn't really bug me anymore than jewelry on women. F'rinstance, the guy in the cubicle across from me has a stud in his ear, and I think it looks good on him, and his girlfriend evidently doesn't think that it makes him look gay (or maybe she does, and is trying to convert him to heterosexuality, but either way, he wins), so, what's the problem?

At the same time, things like tongue piercings, nipple piercings, or those huge friggin piercings that you can run a chain through make me cringe, regardless of whether it's a man, woman, or androgynous it-thing wearing said piercings. It's just the gag-factor involved that gets to me. Sort of like the difference between somebody getting a tattoo on their upper-arm and somebody getting a tattoo on their taint.
