I only wear a silver chain with a silver ankh, and I'd probably consider wearing a silver or pewter ring or two (including a wedding band when I reach that part of my life) and maybe a watch.
Though I wouldn't wear piercings, bracelets or anklets, since in my opinion those look better on women (so long as the piercings aren't in any obscure places like the tongue). Not that I have anything against men who wear that stuff as it's their choice (hell, some of my friends wear things like that), I just think it looks better on women.
And I don't really fear that the kind of jewelry I wear looks gay.

Jewelry on men doesn't really bug me anymore than jewelry on women. F'rinstance, the guy in the cubicle across from me has a stud in his ear, and I think it looks good on him, and his girlfriend evidently doesn't think that it makes him look gay (or maybe she does, and is trying to convert him to heterosexuality, but either way, he wins), so, what's the problem?
At the same time, things like tongue piercings, nipple piercings, or those huge friggin piercings that you can run a chain through make me cringe, regardless of whether it's a man, woman, or androgynous it-thing wearing said piercings. It's just the gag-factor involved that gets to me. Sort of like the difference between somebody getting a tattoo on their upper-arm and somebody getting a tattoo on their taint.
