There isn't much point in doing diplo with the French. The Ottomans stuggle to see what options are left.

The french troops are vastly superior compared to others in the same era, their armies are running rampent, and contrary to what I was told at the beginning, the Ottoman UU is the weakest their is. Doesn't seem a very balanced scenario and I think it was a mistake accepting armies to start with.

But the Sultan will remain upbeat, clinging to the smallest of threads of hope..

Will he ever be allowed to rest quietly with his goats again?

Sir Paddy, the Sultan has great difficulty accepting that you wish to discuss peace. There has been talk of this for months yet your armies trudge on through leaving nothing but a trail of destruction in their wake.

The Sultan wisely accepts there is nothing his feeble siphai's can do against the power of Imperial Guards, and so is withdrawing from Austria, burning their cities to the ground so your forces don't help themselves as they have been doing so to date.

Of course we desire peace, but given the untruths of the past, we suspect that any peace treaty won’t be worth the parchment its written on.

How can the French convince us of their true desire for peace?

You scoundrels on the continent are forcing decisions of the utmost importance and consequence in the House of Commons. I recently submitted a bill for consideration by the legislative body to change the "Official Vacation Destination of the King" from Europe to the Americas. I will be forced to spend my large sums of "fun money" -- usually pretty generously granted to me by the Queen as I have been giving her the royal jewels if you know what I mean. *ahem* perhaps I'm a bit off subject here....

Let me bottom line this for you rulers. If there continues to be fighting on the continent, my next vacation destination will be the beaches of the Bahamas. I'm told there are no nasty Coassaks there.

My other option is to march my Redcoats in a single file line between your warring parties. Could England be a party to peace in some manner?
