Turn 6 - First titans


After the defeat at the hands of Kazon Pommar, Captain Kassiopeia Janeway realised she had to enlist Vidiians again and she provided more Klingon DNA for their needs. Skanky Burns, leader of the Vidiians joined Captain Janeway’s alliance with the Kazon Nistrim First Maje Joncha Culluh and the three attacked another (!) Kazon faction – the great Kazon Relora. Skanky Burns also sent a saboteur who had a small capsule implanted under his skin, containing a deadly virus for which only Vidiians have the antidote, but the spy was captured. Rather than betraying the military secrets under torture, the spy activated the device and the virus killed the entire Sparrowhawk’s intelligence service. First Maje Haron Sparrowhawk had to order the facility blasted using disruptors to prevent the disease from spreading.

His successful elimination of this biological threat was small comfort though.

The Species 8472 has not forgotten what Federation nanoprobe weapons have done to them, so they decided to attack Kassiopeia again. But this time they sent only two scouts to avoid heavier losses if Captain Janeway chooses to deploy nanoprobes. The scouts found two Kassiopeia’s bases deserted and occupied them without any struggle.

Smiley loses all lower sized vessels and also 15 laser battleships and one of his laser battleships is damaged. The battle continues:

Smiley loses three more laser battleships while GeoModder loses two torpedo battleships and one torpedo dreadnaught. His torpedo titan is also slightly damaged. The battle rages on:

Smiley is left with only 2 laser battleships and in the ensuing three rounds these last Mohicans are destroyed. Smiley loses all home bases. Since the allies failed to negotiate an agreement on the distribution of the captured bases, they will be split like this:

Theben takes 3 bases.

In the funniest attack of the turn, Spaced Cowboy ran into Jamski’s shield and lost one of his torpedo dreadnaughts, damaging the other. Stay tuned. It will be interesting to see how this one will be played out.

Not the way I wanted this game to end. I seem to recall in a PM I sent to an ally at one point something about "stirring up a hornet's nest"...looks like I am the one that got bitten!

Good Game all, I lasted longer then last game at least and am looking forward to Galactic Overlord VII already.

Edit: By the way, I am hoping that everyone loses their self built bases now , and see what happens to strategy then! Only 4 of you left currently with Self Built bases, perhaps the others will make sure they take down your self built bases before being eliminated themselves

And a game question that this brings to mind...it seems that Frigates and Cruisers arn't used a whole lot, and wouldn't be unless a Overlord is reduced to 1/2 self built bases...any reason why everyone starts with 3 self built bases?
