Sure. Version 1.5 is the same as version 1.0, but with an extra file. The CEP is bascially a bundle of files associated with NWN, and version 1.5 just adds another file to that bundle.

What I'm trying to say is that version 1.0 contains A+B+C+D+E+F+G and version 1.5 contains A+B+C+D+E+F+G+H, while Folderol only requires A+B+C+D+E+F+G, and having or not having H will make no difference.

In all fairness, I could have figured out something in reply, probably (like how did HE know MY name), but my sociophobia got the better of me and I got an anxiety attack and completely locked up (so I had no choice but to quit). I always thought the phobia wasn't that bad over the Internet, but I suppose the environment in NWN makes it too reallifelike for me to handle. The people are strange, you're supposed to keep up a conversation and you even have emotive gestures.

Not necessarily my cup of tea, I guess.

bah! can't be as bad as mine . the hardest part for me is finding parties to join. It's hard going up to people you don't know- even over the internet.

and I played a little bit of Folderol.

But I'll admit, I prefer single player over persstant worlds. When I team up, I always end up going faster than I prefer, and going places I don't want to go. True, I can play Folderol in single player- and I have. though a few areas can be tough. But I find the plot lacking in persistant worlds.

Single player mods for me . There are some good ones out there. And still many I haven't played. I heard dreamcatcher series is pretty good. That will be the one I play after the Eternum series (Elegia and Excricio), and after I'm done with Everquest.

Dreamcatcher is very good. I didn't realize that Elegia Eternum had a sequel. It didn't when I played it.

I have had some great multiplayer experiences with Neverwinter Nights though. I used to use Neverwinterconnections.com to set up games with other people. I've played through several campaigns with a party. We role played and everything. Had a lot of fun . we found a good group, and we all stuck around until the end. I should try to find another good group to campaign with. But no time now unfortunately.

I still dont understand the point of multi-classing. Ant that chart Jamski just made makes it even more confusing.


Why switch back and forth so much? Why not just go to level 10 as rogue, then 33 as Assassin, and then the rest as weapons master?

one problem that may arise with multiclassing is experience penalties. You may have them depending on your race and class. So keeping your levels together may be a good idea.

Another is with to hit rolls. I have some some stats that recommend going in 4's or something like that. I don't powergame enough to care that deeply.

You'd get worse hit rolls. Also its best to get the WM abilites as soon as they become available (because they're nice to have sooner rather than later) I'd also swop Rogue 6 with Assassin 7 on reflection, in order to "gain something every level" instead of in clumps.

Finally you're back talking about the game instead of that geeky nonsense.

Mind you, whenever I load up NWN, it tells me that "Jamski has entered the game". Not that I'm too bothered by this, as it doesn't seem to have any effect on the game, and it's good to remember that weekend chez Spike. Let's have another after Christmas. Just, er, not in Leeds. Not sure that the duchess would appreciate it, and I haven't got broadband.
