Xenons are much brighter and use even less energy than Halogens. They're the kind of bulbs used for headlights in high-end cars now, they usually have almost a blueish tone because they're so incredibly white.
They also barely diffuse at all. That is, it's a very, very acurate light -- very good for headlights. If you look at halogen headlights versus xenon, the xenon have a very clear line where light is being projected and where it's not, halogens have a "blending" zone, and incandescents just kinda shine everywhere. 
Xenon lights, in short, are brighter & whiter, use less energy, and diffuse less.
