There's a whole city full of workers not doing a darn thing. In other places I have troops protecting workers, and attacking the enemy before they can get to our workers.

I seem to remember being told to bind the Macedonians with us against Carthage! Since that was already done, what's the harm in Bind our other committed allies with us against Carthage. In the War Poll Carthage was our sworn enemy. I respected the will of the Senate based on the comments and results of the polls. I did see any rules or laws forbiding the Emporer from signing treaties.

Look to your own posts. My save was praised by you and others. I did not pick a fight with Persia, the Scythians and Carthage all at once. I could not help that the Celts and Carthage plotted against us on my first turn. I am not the one who went Legion crazy and left the Sea for the Carthagians and Macedonians. A shambles! We have 5 boats. The others don't move a ship without an escort of 5 ships! A shambles! If it is a shambles I dare say it was handed to me that way.

But, I don't think it is a complete shambles. Spain is within our grasp and that was this Senate's Highest priority! Look to the polls. That is what the Senate asked for and that is what I delivered. There is one more Carth city in Spain and the Celt cities are falling our way there too. This is not a shambles. Look to your own words.

The first posts are on 11/03/2004. I joined this game on 11/12 before Modo44 first turn which ended on the 14th. I too think I have loyally been here from the start. No I do not own the place, but when there are Senators whispering in the shadows, I think they should be called out. Paddy, I realize that you are just the mouth piece for these Brutuses. I ask that the others come out of the shadows.

Paddy I don't think I accused you individually of anything. Just being the mouth piece for the Senate.

I did not run across any major problems that should have brought the Senate into my turn as stated by the rules that I read and re-read. When Carthage and the Celts made a pact against us I considered a call to the Senate.

But -
1 - the Senate was already calling for war with the Celts. No problem there.

2 - I was already being told to hurry up and play. Remember? Asking the Senate for an opinion took too long the first time!
