Emperor Aqualung, I was merely pointing out, that the extent of the Celtic expansion is not Emperor Conius' doing, which seemed to be our new Emperor McMeadows' point of view. I thought it was in order to remind him of the fact. Or was it not? Oh well.

Anyone notice how since con became Emperor the Senate floor has become an ill-disciplined forum, where anyone and everyone talks about whatever they want out of turn? A Senate of SPAM...? Sound familiar, con....? A certain site you are quitting?

I'm working on sorting the discussions sofar on navy, military, wonders, forbidden palace, expansion, domestic & foreign affairs and hope to get it into approriate threads within 10 hours. I would like to ask the senate to wait with further discussion on these issues untill than. Suggestions on other subjects will be appriciated, though, please do not start to discuss it right away.

Hey dont blame me this entire forum is a spam fest! And Im not quitting that other place because of spam, the reason is a bit deeper and if you really care about the reason send me a PM. You said yourself that other place is getting boring.

Yes it was I was in there at about 1800 GMT Tuesday and about 0200 GMT on Wednesday.

Since this is a sucession game I did not NEED to do that but I did it anyway in case anyone wanted to kibbitz on the save with me.

I see that we are about to vote for Consuls, yet out Great Law clearly states that this is a rotating position. Have we decided to ignore our law? Have we decided to hand over the rule of this great land to 3 Consuls and a puppet Emperor? Before we go electing Consuls I motion that we have a vote on this issue.

you don't have a clue what I have asked for don't you? Please go back to your seat and be patient for a little longer. If you'd really read the thread on consuls, you'd known your emperor doesn't support, nor has ever supported the installation of consuls.

Besides the Consul issue (which I wouldn't want to step in, yuck) and the Noble Call for Booze and Dancing, are there any other, um....senate thingys going on?

Are you starting a revolution Rasputin? I want in, who do we line up first against the wall? I have a bow handy, bring to the Senate every time I show up, just in case an Emperor shows up to demand our heads.

Maybe I will just go sit down.

It is clear that our nation is deeply divided on the issue of Consuls. But what ARE they? I will start a citizen-wide referendum - what should such Consuls be?

I am a Senator of Rome and I can barely figure it out. I think they be meant to help insure that an Emperor of Noble Rome follows as closely as possible the recommendations of this senate and the populace at large. It seems the Emperors of the past, who have had the luxury of near independence fear that the throne will be no better than a puppeteer's stage, and that these 'Consuls' will become the true power pulling the strings.
In truth, the idea seems sound, as presented by the PPP, our Honorable Paddy the Scot:
