Of course not. Russia has never occupied Ukraine. Ukraine and Russia was the same prior Mongol invasion. And it was Ukraine who peacefully and free-willingly joined Russia in 1654, not the other way around.

Russian inroads. In 1654, Ukrainian Cossacks chose a Russian offer for leadership over their lands, rather than continue Polish squabbles. In time, the Russian oversight became more authoritarian than that of Poland. Gradually, Ukraine became annexed into the Russian Empire. Many Russians consider 1654 as the "happy reunion" of Russia and Ukraine. Many Ukrainians view the date as the beginning of the fragmentation of their nation.

They may have joined, but does that mean that they cannot leave ? Especially if it seems that what looked like a resque was worse than that they fled from ?

"Russia ûber alles" and "Russia for Russians" or "Ukraine for Ukranians" are absolutely different things. The first is how any patriot should think, the second is how any nazi thinks. |
Surely, the first are really nazi propaganda wheras the two others just state that people has the right to descide for themselves.
I still claim that you are a nazi.

Then you clearly don't know what nazism is.

It comes from the source which spell Novogorod as NAHV-gah-raht ( I esp. liked this line- Novogorod (NAHV-gah-raht, a city 200 km south of present day St. Petersburg), like Novogorod doesn't exist now), Bogdan Khmelnitski as BORDEN Khmelnitsk, Chernobyl as chahr-NO-bahl, Genghis Khan as GENG-gah-SKAHN, etc., ect., ect. This article wrote for absolute dummies. If you cosider it as creditable source then you are...
Besides guess where the authors of this sh!t took their knowledge? From the article: (Background Notes: Ukraine, p. 2. Unless otherwise noted, the following quotes come from this U.S. State Department source).

It's not a nazi propaganda it's the line from the German anthem. For any patriot its Motherland is above everything, even its own life. Motherland is the most precious value. On the other hand, statements like "country X for people of X nationality" do not state that people has the right to descide for themselves, as you suggest. They state that people who says so, believe in supremacy of their nationality over others= f*cking nazis.

But don't worry, it can be fixed, stop reading such sh!tty sources (Genghis Khan (GENG-gah-SKAHN) ), and read some real books instead. And sooner or later you'll be Ok...perhaps.

I can gurantee you that any attempt for ar russian to try to spell danish localities will have excattly the same problems, so i don't give a damn for your excuses based on bad spelling/pronounciacion.
Further, you claim that the source is invalid because some US institiution is involved. They are at least 8 years old, and my guess is that they didn't bother to do anything about the facts about what happend approx 350 years ago, so that point i still claim as valid.

What are you talking about ? Nothing of this makes sense.
Actually you are claming that Motherland is the most important thing, but if that results in that you want to defend this country X, because it's your motherland, then you are a nazi ?

Since when Genghis Khan or GENG-gah-SKAHN, according to this article, is the name of Russian localities?
Just face it, this article have been wrote for absolute, total dummies. Their "facts" and their interpretation are plain wrong. It's a brainwashing bullsh!t.

Great logic.
So, if person X keep telling bullsh!t stories for years, all his bullsh!t automatically become true facts as long as this person is at least a 8 years old and do not bother to make any research regarding the subject of his BS stories?

1) Patriot loves his Motherland.
2) Nazi loves his nationality, consider himself as supreme being and treat people of other nationalities as inferior people, as crap.
3) By saying "Ukraine for Ukranians" or "Denmark for Danes" or something of that kind, you are not defending this country X. You proclaim that this country X should be populated by persons of X nationality ONLY, which means that others should be expelled, (wiped out, sloughtered, whatever). Therefore it's a 100% nazi slogan.

Sech was a capital? You mean it was a city?
I always thought that it was just a bunch of tents somewhere in the middle of the forest, populated mostly by bandits of all kind.

I don't get Serb, I,m a socialist and he calls me a Nazi, and I hate Bush's guts and he says I;m filled with his propaganda. Excuse me, I listen to Minnesota Public Radio, Not FOX. |
There isn't much to get. He blames anyone from the west for the fall of the soviet empire (well, about that one point he's right ) and see every attempt from the former colonies to lessen the bonds to russia as another attack on russia.
If I was an ultranationalist as he seems to be, I would work hard for the reunion of Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Estonia, Latvia, Sleschweig, Holstein and large parts of England and scotland. Well, now we are at it, lets take Normandy too (it was norwegian vikings that settled there, but thats close enough ). After all, those countries has in some point of the history been part of Denmark. Oh, i almost forgotten, a wide corridor from the present Skt Petersbourg following the rivers down to the black sea must also be included (if you have seen The 13th Warrior or read the book (Chrictons Eaters of the Dead) then you know what i mean.
