Why? Maybe that has been your experience, but my experience is that a woman will be more willing to operate in a state of denial than a man will. Women act on their emotions. They get an emotion - they dont always know where it came from - but they then act on that emotion. Men act on logic. So, as a man you need to be aware of this to troubleshoot relationship problems properly.

I've been dating for over 30 years, and you - you are married, right? So I'm confident that I have a good sampling of women on which to base my opinions. Your wife and female relatives do not equal "the vast majority of women".

Well, think again. I'm not married because I prefer to experience a variety of women. I split up with them when they want to get too serious. I've probably forgotten more about female behavior than you what you understand about it... Maybe he got married because he found one woman that he finally understood and latched onto her because it was too stressful to deal with the others that he couldn't figure out.. Nothing wrong with that, by the way, but that's not me. And if it were me, I certainly wouldnt go around making blanket statements about my understanding of "the vast majority of women".

In my personal experience us men are just as irrational and emotional as women. We just try and hide it more.

But I think the board consensus is right - if she breaks up over you not wanting to move in after a mere three-month relationship, in all likelihood something is seriously enough wrong with her that you're probably better off without her.

THIS is what I'm talking about. This is what women are and men are not. Men have emotions but control them in favor of acting on facts. Women have emotions and act on them as if they were facts.

The way you stay in control of a relationship as a man is
you CREATE her emotions and she will naturally DESIRE to act on them.

You can not THINK that their minds work analytically like ours do. It's a TOTALLY different process.

Consider:

She stands in front of the tv when the football game is on. We think "SHE HAS *GOT* TO GET OUT FROM IN FRONT OF THE TV!"

You don't bring her flowers. She doesn't think "This guy needs to go out and get me some flowers" She thinks "HE DOSEN'T LOVE ME ANY MORE... IS IT MY WEIGHT?... IS HE CHEATING..."


See? It doesn't make any sense because SHE gets an EMOTION from actions and words, then she acts on that, whereas WE act on the facts of the situation.


This is why I am saying that those of you who assert that men are as emotional as women are WRONG.
