I just don't see anything special in most actors...
Ok, the few movies I've seen with Jack Nicholson are great, but I've only seen two of them... Most actors mentioned here are just average... they've been in some good movies, but they've just not impressed me enough to be on my "have to check out this actors next movie" list...
And from other actors posted here are some that has done many good movies, but I didn't want to mention them since they were already talked about in this thread
And what's crap about Leslie Nielsens movies? If you don't like that kind of humor, that's fine, but a lot of people do... I only know very few people IRL who doesn't like that kind of humor...
And what about Jackie Chan? The most well-liked martial arts ekspert since Bruce Lee... I have yet to find a person who likes martial arts movies, but hate Jackie Chan...
And I can't see anything about bad about Christopher Lloyd either... ok, he haven't had that many different types of roles, he mostly just plays the guy where you can't tell if he's a genious or insane, but you don't put him into a leading role either... but that doesn't change the fact that most of "his" movies are funny (if you like that insane kinda humor)
The only one there's left is Van Damme, and I know he's not a neutral guy... either you hate him or you like him... He might not be the best actor around, but for martial arts scenes I've only seen few actors who could do better ( = more interesting) martial arts scenes than what he could do (too bad there's not much of this in his recent movies)
Yes, I love crazy comedy and I love martial arts... but what's wrong with that? This doesn't mean that I don't watch other kinds of movies? I've seen a lot of horror movies I like, I've seen a lot of different types of comedies I like, I've seen a lot of dramas I like, etc etc etc...
As you can hear I'm very tired of hearing that others don't like what I like, but I can't change what I like and what I don't...
