Some people say sports teaches us to deal with real life. If one thing is true about real life it's that life isn't fair and neither is the BCS.

Odd reply. I guess I should have added a smiley.

A better example would be being passed up for a promotion because the company uses a metric which you didn't do as well at, or because you don't go golfing with your boss. Yes, a playoff is a better solution but I don't think thats going to change soon. Im hoping for a plus one game in the near future, but that won't help Auburn or Utah this year.

However, in the semifinals, the Sooners were shocked by the Wolverines, 24-9.

Meanwhile, the Broncos eviscerated the Hokies, 29-3.

Notre Dame is looking at two NFL offensive coordinators: Weiss (Patriots) and Clements (Bills). Both are interesting to me, although I wonder how they will do with recruiting. Both have solid ND ties. I don't know too much about either.

The outgoing ND president really laid into the decision to fire Willingham. Interesting.

He spent three seasons there, three as a Patriots assistant and three more as an assistant with the New York Jets. When Bill Belichick became coach of the Patriots in 2000, he named Weis, 48, his offensive coordinator. Weis was a candidate for several NFL head coaching jobs last season, but said coaching the Patriots to the Super Bowl hurt his chances of landing a job. Clements, 51, played quarterback for the Irish under coach Ara Parseghian, leading the school to an undefeated season and a national championship in 1973. He also was an assistant at Notre Dame under coach Lou Holtz from 1992-95. Clements is in his first season as offensive coordinator with the Buffalo Bills.
