If the post count killing pattern is indeed intentional, it would seem to suggest that mafia #1 has already been killed. Further evidence for this exists in the fact that killings 2, 3, and 4 involved fruit, while killing 1 did not...

I'll go on record to state that I don't think that -Jrabbit, Snowflake or Nikolai are the mafia. Nor am I.

I think the mafia made a big mistake killing rah; his spam-happy ways, feud with Snowflake and his early elimination of DrSpike via voting made him a choice patsy to keep alive till the end of the game.

Framing snowflake was a mistake, IMO. The mafia has now made an 'investment' in her and can't kill her, since she soaks up a good slice of votes every turn. If she happens to guess right (now that her enemy rah is gone), the mafia will be in the uncomfortable position of having to either 'silence' her (thus attracting attention) or let her live and vote.

Assuming I survive to the next round, the obvious target for the mafia is Darkcloud - missing out Snowflake in -Jrabbit's postcount countdown, keeping the suspicion on both me and snowflake, and away from himself. And the mafia, of course, up to now, will always have voted against Snowflake and myself - unless he is in danger of being voted to death, since he wants to keep his patsies alive as long as possible.

Of course, once he reads this, he may try to be more 'random' in his behaviour.

It does seem kind of strange that the two mafias are coordinating this well to kill the spammers ...

1. The rules say "1 or more" Villagers are designated as Mafia. Is this number known, or simply customarily =2, or what?

2. I see the game continues until (both/all) Mafia are gone, so that means no sure way of knowing when one was killed correct?

3. Rules also state that the Mafia "informs the GM
by PM who he wishes to kill. The GM then posts a decription (sic) of the death..." I don't see anything requiring the death description to come from the Mafia. Rather it's strongly implied that this comes from the GM (Ljube). Is this accurate, or is the Mafia permitted/encouraged to specify the method of the deed along with the identity of the victim?

4. I also assume the Mafia do not know each other's identities. Also correct?

Yes, the modern practice is two. Always, unless explicitly mentioned otherwise.

Yes, there should be no way to tell until we see a change in the method of killing happen, as in, Mafia 1 (alive) starts killing on Mafia 2's (dead) turn too. Assuming both mafias have their distinctive method. Usually they do.

It's up to the GM. I usually ask for ideas from the Mafia, but in most cases the Mafia have given me free will over this. Usually it's easiest for the GM that the GM can decide on their own.

The GM does not inform them. They can try to find out who it is, but they have no surefire way to know.

Oh, and usually if one Mafia dies on first two turns, the GM may select a new Mafia to stand in for them. It's possible this has happened this time since killing method has changed from spam can lids to fruit.

Think about it -- Who started this pile-on?

That's actually happened before -Jrabbit. Therefore, you could theroretically be the culprit- especially with all the work that went into making your (very excellent!) list.

However, that list is pretty damning in its evidence (presuming it wasn't skewed that way on purpose)

And in addition to the data provided on the list, the culprit of name quickly jumped on the jrabbit docpile when only one vote was accured against himself and at least three against Jrabbit... that's mighty suspicious.

I still continue to place my vote for sandman... for the time.

maybe he'll survive the coin toss again...

my wouldn't that be interesting...

No it's not. I saw that most of the anti-Sandmanites hadn't voted yet,and I was sure they'd vote for me, as they have done. Don't pretend that you wouldn't have voted for me if I'd not voted for the (regretfully innocent) -Jrabbit.

Chapter 5 – Not even a snowflake for the New Year

Rah’s room wasn’t a pretty sight. Blood was everywhere and rah’s head was smashed, parts of his brain all over the place. Even though she had a fight with rah the other day and didn’t like him very much, quite possibly was pleased with his demise, Snowflake couldn’t bear the horrific sight and fainted.
Theben and Spaced Cowboy helped her. They carried her to her room, where she regained consciousness. The three then joined the others who had gathered in the now empty Aussie suite to try to decide what to do.

When Theben was just about to enter he heard DarkCloud saying: “We must vote again. We have no alternative.”
“Yeah, let me start by voting for Snowflake. She hated rah”, Whoha said.

Snowflake entered the room and said: “I may have disliked him somewhat, but that’s hardly a motif for a murder, don’t you think?”
“What we need to do is establish both the motif and the opportunity”, Theben started his analysis. “Since rah was moderator of our forums, everybody of us had the motif. Come on now, who of you hasn’t suffered from rah’s actions? Who hasn’t been given a single PCR or restriction? Or whose thread hasn’t been closed by rah at least once? I doubt there are people like that among us.”
“There are”, Sandman interrupted Theben. “I haven’t been PCRed, restricted and my threads haven’t been closed by any moderator. Ever!”

Theben continued his analysis undeterred by Sandman’s remark.
“We all had motifs. I won’t lie to you. I knew rah well and I too wanted to get rid of him. But the question here is who had the opportunity. –Jrabbit went out for fifteen minutes and in this time rah closed two of my threads, restricted me for a day, played a couple of turns of civ, someone came in, beat the hell out of rah, went out, and then –Jrabbit returned and saw what had happened. That’s what you’re trying to make us believe JR. I say not likely. I say you did it.”

“Well either he did it, or we were right last time and Sandman did it”, joncha added.
“No, I didn’t do it! Rah was my best friend! You guys are insane”, -Jrabbit couldn’t believe what was happening. He just lost his best friend and he was about to suffer an even bigger blow – be accused of his murder.
“Look, according to the order in which the people were killed it’s obviously the work of someone who hates spammers, someone who hardly ever posts, someone like you Sandman”, -Jrabbit started accusing people to save his neck.

The vote was very close, but eventually JR got the majority of only one vote.
“What are we going to do with him”, Nikolai asked.
“Drowning like the others? It has become kind of boring”, Adagio said.
“No drowning for this fruit who tried to interpret the data his way and accuse my innocent self. I say bury him alive. A fitting end for someone who would kill his best friend”, Sandman suggested.
“Capital idea”, Kassiopeia supported Sandman’s suggestion. “But we need to burry him in the sand. It would be a symbolic gesture to punish him for trying to frame you.”

-Jrabbit was dragged to the beach. There he was forced to dig a hole in the sand and then his hands and legs were tied and he was buried alive.

*******

Over lunch everybody’s spirits were up again. Snowflake mentioned she got a PCR from rah yesterday, but she joked that with rah out of picture she was going to make it to deity in no time.
But she felt ill while she was eating the desert.
Everybody got worried but Snowflake explained it was because of the strawberries in the desert as she was allergic to them. She retired to her room, while the others ordered drinks.

Theben had Cosmopolitan, joncha ordered White Russian, Adagio had Sex on the Beach, Nikolai took Jello Shooters, Jon Miller had Agent Provocateur, Whoha ordered Mudslide and Kassiopeia had Hurricane, while the others had beer or wine.

*******

In the morning Hercules discovered Snowflake dead in her room. The sadistic killer took time with her, forcing her to eat more than a kilogram of strawberries and enjoying her allergic attack. She died in anguish.
