After the 33 minute mark passed, Cmdr. Adama ordered Capt. Apollo to set up a patrol of the fleet. Kara thanked Apollo for the "honor" of being selected to sit in her cockpit for the next 3 hours. Before that period ended, the Olympic Carrier jumped in.

Well, I doubt he would have waited for almost 2 days before deciding to take advantage of the absence of the Cylons for the first time in 5 days.

Yes, but the Galactica has to carry it's own air and water supply, unlike a modern naval vessel.

Very true. And it's reasonable to assume the Galactica was on a skeleton crew at the time of the Cylon attack, as it was just hours away from being decommissioned.

I don't know about you guys, but I thought the show sucked this time. I was very disappointed. I hope the CYlons win... just so I don't have to watch any more of this shitty show.

I'm giving it one more chance... this friday... after that, if it still sucks, I'm done watching it.

I didn't feel the way you felt about it. Somehow, a whole bunch of ships in the distance doing nothing didn't feel "oppressive". Maybe if they actually showed some of the battle scenes, it would be cool. But they showed the ships in the distance doing nothing. How the **** is that "oppressive"?

One thing I did like was when Boomer was fighting her Cylon instinct off. I thought that was good.

Did you watch the miniseries? That had a few battles, plus watching all the nukes going off on Caprica.

Watching the attacks in "33" didn't suck. It felt like they were fighting against massive odds and barely holding the line.

For me, Battlestar Galactica represents the best type of Science Fiction. That is social science fiction. How would people react when introduced to new conditions. The idea of having to stay awake five days straight because the robots are on your ass or a basic human need on earth or space: water. Science Fiction is about more than space battles and made up pieces of equipment.
To some people the greatest writers of science fiction have been authors like Robert Heinlein, Isaac Asimov, Philip K. Dick, and Arthur C. Clarke not James Cameron and Gene Roddenberry.

If all one can do to criticize Farscape is complain about the animatronic creatures, then I would have to question the priorities one looks for in a show. Farscape had great stories, great writing, and great acting. So what if a few creatures didn't look realistic enough?
