There was a case 5-7 years ago, when some 16-17 year olds were on holiday on Cyprus. Everybody know those trips are all about sex, booze and rock'n roll without adult supervision.

One night a Swedish girl and a boy was really drunk and passed out in a hotel room where some Norwegian guys stayed. The girls friend walked into the room and found the boy and girl naked on top on each other, and a gang of Norwegians standing by, cheering and taking pictures. She shouted gang rape and ran out and called the police.

The Swedish boy was arrested and it was all over media even before the case was investigated. The leftists asked for the boys head on a plate. Then it turned out that the Norwegians had undressed him while he was passed out and put him on top of the passed out girl to take humiliating pictures of them. The police on Cyprus dismissed the case for the Swedish boy, still leftists in Sweden demanded that he should be prosecuted by a Swedish court when he got home. I don't know what happened to the Norwegian boys, they probably got prosecuted for sexual harrassment or something. As for the girl, she was never physically raped, but probably felt like she was raped mentally, after all the media hype. Once you say "rape" to the feminist media there's no turning back, even if the investigation proves something else.

I feel both extremes have bad side effects.

If you favour the woman too much, you are going to have cases where the man is prosecuted even though he did nothing. If you go the other way, you are going to have cases where a woman is raped, but nothing happens to the man who rapes her.

What do you all think of the Kobe Bryant case in Colorado? That is normally a very pro-woman state, but in this case for some reason. All these leaks about the victim made it public. That case had no chance of succeeding.

Some lawyer screwed up. If the age of consent is 13 in Sweden, and I think its probably higher, the girl would, under Canadian law be unable to give an informed consent. Period.

The age of consent is 15 in Sweden, but for some reason having sex with a non-consenting minor isn't necessarily rape under the current law. That's gonna change with the new one, which is basically classifying all non-consensual sex as rape, no matter the age of the victim.

And don't forget to ask for a renewed written confirmation of her continued consent every couple of minutes during the act itself. but rape is a serious crime... I can't think of a more traumatic experience for a woman than to be raped. It should carry the death penalty. But I acknowledge the flaws in the legal system and would support a moratorium on the DP in order to reform the process.

I can't think of more traumatic experience for a man than being accused of being a rapist when he's not. That stigma never leaves. I ask you, would you rather have a stigma of a killer, or a rapist? Anyway, the point is, that is almost as bad as raping itself. So, jail, hard time.
