Agreed. Particularly so, however, in one-sided battles. Once longer battles come into play, three-weapon fleets are valid, with or without M; as they get double against at least one slot, and free damage against another (even if the subsequent slot is doubled). However, up to this point in the game there have been virtually no competitive battles (I want to say no, but someone will prove me wrong), and few battles have made it to wave 2 at all. M has allowed defenders their one chance to deal a bit of damage, usually when the attacker used M of course...

I certainly don't suggest making defense platforms adequate to allow or require turtling. However, not everyone enjoys the treachery aspect of this game quite as much as you, Ljube , and a competitive *shooting* game would be appreciated as well. Shields are a special, and Specials are still in the diplomatic portion of the game as far as I'm concerned - you use them at the right diplomatic aspect, not really the right strategic aspect (well, spies are both, i guess, but shields mainly just diplomaticly-related). IE, when you believe you'll likely be attacked ...

In our quest for more efficient delivery of orders, we have enlisted the services of some space robots. They get the job done, though they do have an unfortunate tendency to push (or shove, as the case may be) people down the nearest flight of stairs every so often. And that they babble on about this "terrible secret of space" and ask everyone if they have stairs in their house. Go figure.

Edit: FWIW, so far as we can determine, Colony I has nothing to do with these robots.
