Well, you'd have to use some javascript, but I didn't mean you, I mean whoever made that site. Incidentally, link doesn't work for me either.

Too bad about Col2 not happening, but Soren confirmed a June release date for Civ4 at CFC.

I think I'd say Colonization 1 was better than Civ 1 and at least more interesting than Civ 2. But then I never played Civ 1 much. But Colonization 1 had a cool different trade system, a kind of SMACish unit system, and some other neat features.

actually, I have never played the first one. Is it any good? |
Well i liked it as much as Civ1, but never enjoyed the prospect of subjucating the native americans, this aspect always detracted from the fun for me.
The music was excellent, loads of period pieces and classical tunes(well it was very good on the amiga, not sure about the pc's at he time?).

If there ever is a Colonization 2 (maybe it really will wind up being next), you really should be able to play as the Natives and fight off the Europeans, or maybe play as the natives without any Europeans in the game.

hmmm... one native group colonizes the others?
Maybe the Europeans could be placed on the map of America and the "Native" homelands could be off the map.
And who says everything you can mod the game into has to fit the name of the game?
